...and I'm not sure I follow on the Dynasty announcement being a bad move... can someone please spoon feed me?

No, sorry, didn't mean anything by the 'smart' reference...I'm not that clever.

Anyway, more interestingly, how long until the NXL exlusivity clause is revised? And then what happens to the team owners who currently have spots in both leagues?

For all of those harbouring a desire to play against Dynasty and the Russians, you might just have missed the boat. Although I'm still not convinced about the Dynasty to Miami thing...smacks of bollocks.

Alright to our loyal fans you will hear it first...................
Dynasty is not headed for the NXL under the Miami Effect flag. There have been no serious discussions about the switch. Has it been brought up? Sure but nothing serious has coming of anything. There are too many things for us to give up. Our name, our control just too many things. It sucks that Div 1 is falling apart.
This means that we will probably play 3 games all season at Div 1 events.

Just a matter of time, Beaks, just a matter of time. However, the fact that the NXL's owners have treated the league like a frightened parent who accidentally smothers the baby doesn't make the league or the play uninteresting.

Exclusivity Clause? Didn't that spontaneously combust sometime around Denver? Given the success of NXL players in the NPPL perhaps a modified version of exclusivity could specify NXL team players may play where their team wishes to play as long as they continue to represent their NXL franchise -- minus the team name association carry over.
Then they ought to pack the NPPL's new Div. 1 with teams and laugh all the way to the bank. The net result wouldn't be all that different from say Open Div XBall vs. the NXL, would it?
