really shocked at how this vote has gone  well if it goes all together this will be were it starts :(
Seriously bro, you'd think people would want to support the sport. I mean, so what if you can't watch the saturday or don't want to, pay the fiver and help improve a good service instead of saying "I should only pay half for the sunday". If it turns out to be rubbish, THEN I'll complain, but even so it's only a bloody fiver (drink two less pints ffs). I'm no good samaritan, but considering all the preaching about how the guy on the ground needs to pitch in, this strikes me as a bit hypocritical.

On the other hand (and me being slightly more reasonable) the poll asks if people are going to tune in, not if they think it's fair, so it could just be that they aren't free to watch it. Note to self: no ranting after midnight:rolleyes:

I think its a fair price, im sure nicky can this but if you turn up to the event to watch you would be paying alot more to watch from the main field from the stands

Im going to admit, I clicked no before thinking about it. I will probably pay for it if iv got nothing else one that weekend, but iv had real issues with the feeds before crashing and generally not working.

Its $10 / £5 thats cheaper than a cinema ticket and to be honest looking at the film listings atm Id rather view the paintball. Even with the time difference its worth it in my opinion even with just a few hours viewing, if costs a problem grab a few mates round get in the beers and make a night of it. Ive spent more than that on a drink.

:) more women presenting it along with Mr T and i bet people would pay :p

Good to hear the feedback.

I am surprised to hear about outages, I would estimate the webcast stream has been down perhaps 2 hour for every 100 hours. Which is pretty good for running almost 12 hours a day in a parking lot or on a beach ;) . In Jacksonville it was up 100% of the time (even if NPPL.com wasn't). Kidding aside, 100% is what we aim for, and anything less is a failure on our part.

I like the idea of putting up games for those who can't see it all live. We will aim to implement the "Super Seven" games of the day, ie 7 of the best games to loop after the live coverage ends.

Also trying to implement PayPal smoothly into the payment system.

Quality wise shooting for a 350k stream vs. the 200k of HB.

It also helps having 3 Brits on the crew, even if I sound like a yank now.

Edit: Would you like the webcast to run backward like this forum lists posts by default? ;)

2 points that will make me go and vote "yes".
£5 seems good if we can get those features.

Perhaps outages might be too strong, but I've certainly had moments (especially on a Sunday) where obviously traffic etc caused it to become choppy/unusable.

I think the issue is that as soon as you introduce a fee for something you HAVE to deliver. If the feed it free and it slows down or isn't perfect then cest la vie, if someone's paid their money then it just can't. But if the extra money allows you guys to invest in the infrastructure etc, then I'm sure it'll be a success.

I've been watching the broadcasts from day 1, back when you still had to pay for them. The quality has improved a lot since then but there are still things about it that I don't like (mr Evan $ being one of them among with the commentator wannabees who turn the whole experience into something painful for me).

I understand what might be the reason for going back to PPV, I'm not sure though whether it will be what you looking for...

Have you considered doing a low bandwidth free webcast vs high def paid one?

Also, if you'd increase the advertising slots and reach out to non-sponsors in the industry out there, you might get extra money - I know I would jump in with ads for my products if I could purchase a couple slots at a reasonable price.
