I'm at least 5p of that in pure entertainment value alone :)
I'm not sure how much involvement you have wit this side of it nicky but have the NPPL considered an E-tv style itunes channel or youtube channel. Accessable if you have paid for the show so the highlights/pro games could be viewed.

Maybe even a NPPLlive+1 idea so there was a replay at a different time

3rd idea
A 'one with the gun' style download of some of the games if the $10 has been spent?

If we're trying to get people involved in the sport.. the live web cast is one of the best forms, people watch some of it, they might enjoy it and start playing... a big way to bring in new players, if it's pay per view, people who arn't paintballers arn't going to pay to watch it. Theres goes a great way of advertising our sport.

Also, the price isn't bad now... but if it still appears successful.. are they going to keep slowly increasing the price like everything nowadays?

Still gonna tune in.. i enjoy it. Maybe the NPPL could add a few extras to get value for money.. cameras in certian positions on the field maybe.. watch players say in the snake up close and good.. maybe small coverage of another field for when theres main field breaks.. maybe the odd competition so viewers can win some gear donated?? jsut to get real value for money.. if it's bringing more money in.. seeing the money spent on the webcast would keep people coming back to watch at more events!

Thing about the free broadcasts was, it was put out for free. So if the feed went down, or you couldn't connect, lost sound or anything like that. You weren't particularly bothered because it was free (although a great service).
Now if someone pays for a service, and they get the same issue's. They have a right to complain, you need some sort of support line for paying customers if they cant view the show.

I personally wont be paying for it, but only because its the first time (that i have seen) that the service was pay-per-view. After some feedback from the event i may consider otherwise

have to agree with james there, think it was last year, wrestlemania was on, had a mate sleep round it was 30 for the event, 15 each, and we couldnt connect for some reason, and then rang up sky 50p a minute on the phone for 30 mins, and saw it for a bout 10 seconds, and the time differance is completly differant fron ours, if it was free i would watch it, but if everything was all set up correctly i would watch it for £5, but just rather not have another wrestlemania situation again

I have no problem paying the money but as said before, i dont have time to sit for 3 days and watch the whole lot. so rider has hit the nail on the head for me..
why not just a set of links to watch individual specific games then?
leave them up as long as they like, but as view/stream only with no download option.

eg: i may have a free 45 mins on a saturday morning as the kids drag me out of bed at 6.30am. say, i want to watch XvY from the fridays play, so i just click the link and get the stream.

would let us catch up on selected missed games when there otherwise wouldn't be any on anyway due to the time difference....

just a thought.

Also, what about a roundup/highlights program, again, available to watch online when you please, youtube stylee.

But also i agree with the following, free live coverage is great advertising to get new players into the sport. making people pay is pretty much gonna kill that.

gotta agree completely with you there, i enjoy linking my friends so they can watch a game live.

I also agree with most of the other posters, i watch it to fill the gaps in the day, i wont keep my weekend free to watch the webcast so im not really sure if i will or not. ill see how i feel and what im doing.

personally i think itv has it right with their F1 highlights - http://www.itv-f1.com/VideoHighlights.aspx, maybe the NPPL could either provide some sort free roundups of 'what you missed' for free or full match replays for the paying subscribers to watch at their pleasure, after the event has finished.

or maybe you could release the games after the event has finished?

I think it may have some thing to do with the feed going down some times.

I paid for it all when it was ppv.

but only really watched it on a Sunday.

This time how ever i would pay of it the reason being when it was ppv before the commentating was crap simple.

With Nicky it is always entertaining and he knows the game and is very clued up to what is going on.

The one thing i would say though is don't let Sean walker on every minute and that other guy with the bald head cash money or what ever he is called he is one big douche.

may be just have the option for watching the Sunday?

I never get to watch any of the games till after 12 midnight.

If they do make a pay per view, make sure there are highlights for free after midnight ;)
