NEXUS ARE OUT

The scoresheet was signed, so the result stands.

Nexus finished on 601. Just 1 point behind Avalanche and Rage.

If the scoresheet hadn't been signed incorrectly, Nexus would be in the Sunday Club again. Not bad for such a new team.

The guys are a bit down at the moment, cos they know they should really be playing tomorrow.

I don't think they were screwed on purpose, just one of those things. S**T happens.

I am sittin in a Chicago hotel room, it's 10 pm, I'm half pissed outa me head, pissed off, depressed, angry and feelin so bad for my boys.
Basically Rage signed for a sheet that had them have 3 live players at the end of their game when in fact they only had two, the reasons why this happened I will let you work out.
What was worse was the rule book allowed for the decision to be reversed and the decision to reverse the mistake was not taken for reasons that are inexplicable by any sane person.
Five judges on that field told the ultimate that only two rage players were alive, Ronnie Kilbourne , of the NPPL rules committee told the Ultimate there were only two Rage players, half of Dynasty told him and about twenty other people told him.
He chose to ignore all these and rely on the two judges who were the only two people apart from the Rage players who said there were three.

Go figure !!

That one point determined Rage to go thru instead of us.

I better keep my gob shut and say no more.

Hmmmmmm  :( :(

What was the Head judge's on the field version of what happened??Obviously he was the one who f*cked the score sheet up..And what was the explanation given for not reversing the decision??Did they say adding an extra player to the scoring sheet wasnt a mathematical error??Or does that only apply when adding the actual scores??

But anyway, thats a disgrace and all parties involved from teams to judges to the Ultimate should be severly looked at if that is indeed the situation above to prevent situations like this from happening again..

I have had about an hour of sleep festerin over what was done to us.
All the hard work we have done in training in the last five months, all the money it cost to get the team out here, comes to nothing at this tournament because of a piece of chicanery being allowed to stand when everybody and his dog saw what we saw and told the head judge.

I honestly feel sick to the bone that anybody could have allowed this to be done to my players, it's times like these that I hate paintball and think WTF !

At one point in the proceedings we even had the head judge conceeding that we were right but couldn't change the points because if the scoresheet was signed by both captains, the points had to stand, when I pointed another sub rule that allowed the points to be changed if the head judge felt a mistake had been made (which he had just admitted), the excuse then changed for not putting down the correct points, and this was in front of Chuck Hendsch, was he (the head judge) could not rely on the five on field judges who said only two players were alive and would make his decision based upon the two judges who said there were three.

You try and work that out, and at this point, things begun to get heated and it was best I left the scene, which I did.

I feel sooo sick for my boys who all handled it soo professionally with only me really getting out of my pram, they are all true pros.
Hmmmmm :(:(:(
