I don't know about what anyone else feels, but i certainly get the feeling that some people wish this to fail before its even started..
Yes the guy made a mistake with a misleading title, but from what i have read it seems near on everyone who has posted has been annoyed by a new site..
As most of us know value for money is a must and i for one with two teams look for a site that offers a safe enviroment and has the players best interest at heart..
As i see it at present we have two sites in the whole of the uk that offer this, and to me this is by far not enough...
I understand some of the concerns but hey, why not give these guys chance to prove what they are offering before anyone makes judgement..
As they say the proof is in the pudding, so lets watch this space and see what develops..
All i will add is that i hope that you make sure that you ensure all players that attend for event's are holding UKSPF Cards..
What you do for private functions is upto you, but as a tourney player i would want to see this enforced...
Anyway thats my 2cents worth...
Hi defied,Now that i know the location of this "New" training site i can back up some of their promises.

astro turf ground - still got life left in it, but moving it will be difficult due to it being laid many years ago. Does have a drainage problem though
overhead viewing box - two cargo containers on top of each other (surprisingly good) see pictures
hard standing car parking - Mixture of hard packed hardcore, gravel and small cemented areas
hard standing staging area - Mixture of hard packed hardcore, gravel and small cemented areas
free paintball gun hire - unsure if free but infernos are already at this site, used for kids on a target range.
toilet and wash facilities - already on site (not porta-loos) used by all customers.
flood lighting - low power flood lighting was used for rc track
on site cafe - good food but at a price
pictures of site when it was still a RC track

Hi Robbo,I think the reaction to them that you maybe sense as somewhat negative was mainly because first impressions always seem to make a big impression; with that in mind, they came in posting across multi-forums, which of course is against the rules and had all but one of their promotional posts deleted for breaking the rules .....
They also slightly indulged themselves in what could be viewed by many as ambiguous promo language in that there was more than a hint of association with the Millennium thereby giving them some sort of credibility ... there was no such link, and unintentional as it may be, I think for the benefit of our member base, we had to make sure of what was going on ...
All that aside, I am more than willing to maintain an open mind about them and see what pudding they come up with but I would ask you to forgive any negative reaction on our part mainly due to the way they came crashing into the place whilst breaking the rules and posting ambiguous, and slighty misleading information.
We just wanna make sure, that's all ... nothing more, nothing less, and if that comes across as somewhat heavy-handed, then I'm afraid that's the risk we take when trying to protect our member base.
All i will add is that i hope that you make sure that you ensure all players that attend for event's are holding UKSPF Cards..
AFAIK for the UKPSF player card/insurance scheme to be effective the site must be UKPSF accredited and/or the events UKPSF sanctioned.Thank you for your input impulse raider, we shal absolutely make sure that this is a must!
onasilverbike thanks for the heads up, as of reading your post I have just sent an email to steve with a request to make our site an accredited venue.AFAIK for the UKPSF player card/insurance scheme to be effective the site must be UKPSF accredited and/or the events UKPSF sanctioned.
Combat UK, if you do not already hold the site accreditation contact Steve Bull @ http://www.ukpsf.com/
Possibly due to the slightly misleading original title of the thread various wild rumours were flying around at the weekend, these seem to have been cleared up by the answers that have been given in the thread. Another training site can only add to the general well-being of paintball, especially one with an all weather surface.
the astro furthest away from the toliets is well and truely stuck down to the ground, moved a section when i help re-model the track and it easily tore.I was over the site today and had a look at the drain situation , i dont think it should be a problem once the land is flattenned as the they were only man made so they just need filling .
the astro turf shouldnt be too hard to move just a LONG process.
Seeing as no one has asked, i assume we can use our own paint?I can also confirm that we will be using dark sport paintballs. We are not sure of prices as of yet however, this bascailly depends on how much they sell it to us but we can garentee that it will be at an affordable price for all !
hi was over there yesterday and the astro turf will be easily removed as we had a go yesterday its not stuck down the bestthe astro furthest away from the toliets is well and truely stuck down to the ground, moved a section when i help re-model the track and it easily tore.
astro after very light morning rain, extremely bad after heavy downfalls

Defied how long did it take you to lay out all the astro? i am just asking for the sake of when we have to remove it all to flatten the ground as the owner who has the heavy machinery to do this is going on holiday the week we begin construction so we are hoping to get this all removed within 2 days if possible?the astro furthest away from the toliets is well and truely stuck down to the ground, moved a section when i help re-model the track and it easily tore.
