It just makes me laugh when someone buys an Ion and then so many up's that it costs more than just buying an Ego/Angel/'Trix would have cost in the first place

if they had the money to buy an ego/angel/trix they would have gone and bought one

the fact is that with an ion you buy the stock gun... then over time and the more you play and enjoy the game you upgrade bits as you go


would you rather there be less people paying paintball but with ego's etc or new kids on the block who have a chance at blowing your head off with a gun they can afford!


see the bigger picture behind the cheapness of it

and i wish people would get off their high horse because they have spent x amount of money on a gun which obviously makes them a better player

yeah man here here...the amount of fools you see parading their latest and greatest...get one gun, and play loads. you dont need it to look awesome, you dont need that anno job, you probably (unless its a league rules thing) dont need that £100 tadao board.

get one marker that does what you need it to do at whatever cost you see fit and plow the excess into training and competing.

whats the point in having 3 of pretty much the same marker anyway?
i look at people with 3 egos and think...why?

No no, not having a go at people who buy an Ion and gradually upgrade it, I just know people who have bought an Ion and spent a couple of hundred on ups for it before even using it. Which is what I think is pointless.

I think the Ion is a great piece of kit for a new player, you can't complain at the price and you get a warranty, which you won't with any second hand kit.
