Recon the best way all round is dump your existing bottle on e-bay whilst you can still get something for it and go for a CE bottle anyway.

The difference in price may be around £50, but you've got a new bottle, peace of mind and you havn't got a lemon on your hands in 6 months time when everyone is trying to shift their old bottles and you can only get 3 and 6 for them.

Makes sense!!

According to the way European law works, existing local standards are still acceptable as legal until that standard is deemed illegal in the country of origin. Therefore because the UK has adopted the CE standard, a HSE bottle is legal in all member states as long as it is legal to use over here.
Please be advised that, after your next test, you should make sure that you carry your test certificate with your bottle. If you have one at hand the carry it with you. This is to back up the label on the bottle, which is only an indicator and not necessarily accepted as proof.

The CE approved bottles are made to the EN 12245 standard and must be manufactured in accordance with conformity module B "EC Type Examination" and module C1 "Monitoring of Final Assessment" as approved by RWTUV, they are available now.

No-one knows if they will be legal for Tolouse, but there are rumours that they will not. Legal standards are Legal standards and it's not a matter of will they allow the use of them, but will they be able to allow the use of them.

If I was a team captain I wouldn't take any chances, imagine having your team in Tolouse with bottles that they won't fill.

I have only found one shop in the UK with these CE bottles in stock, below is a link.

As i have bought one of these bottles and the rules come into effect from the 1st of july then they must be legal for toulouse as it takes place after this date but clarification would be nice
