new European Test for Cylinders

Does anybody know about the new Pan-European test that is comming into effect shortly for compressed air cylinders??
I heard rumors of this in Amsterdam, but have heard nothing since.

What i heard was, that there is going to be a new Pan-European test (like dot or hse) that will be the only test type that can be used in Europe. This means that as of the change over date, ALL players will have to change over their cylinders to the new format.
I have heard this date will be after Toullouse (i asked Laurent) but before Joy.

Does anybody have any official documentation on this, will it be enforced, and can the new Pan-European Cylinders be used in Britian?

Quote from H-PAC taken from the Dot bottles thread in the Tournament forum...

When the new standard comes into force on July 1st you can still use your HSE cyl in th UK if in test, the new cyl is valid thoughout europe and UK but not USA, all cylinders manufactured after end June 03 will be to the new standard, as the HSE cyls life expire after 15 yrs then HSE will no longer be seen.
So from that I understand that anybody playing in Europe after the above date will need to buy a new bottle with the CE stamp. We did ask about Toulouse when we were in the Dam and were told that current bottles would be ok for Toulouse. HSE bottles are ok in the UK either until the test date expires or the 15 years shelf life runs out (not sure which).

Off to the shops in July Boys and girls:( :(

This is a quest for information, in an efort to avoid any dilemma's at Toulouse this year, so anyone who is in a position to answer the following questions, please do so ;)

- Are HSE bottles allowed at Toulouse?

- When are we NOT allowed to use HSE bottles?

- When will the new CE bottles be available?

- What bottles will we need to play in the NPPL?

Thanks,

Nick.

Q1 - Are HSE bottles allowed at Toulouse?......Probably but then someone from the Millenium Commitee would need to post an answer

Q2 - When are we NOT allowed to use HSE bottles?......According to what H-Pac has said so far, until the bottle life expires (15yrs)

Q3 - When will the new CE bottles be available?...I saw and handled one of the "new" bottles this sunday (seems a little previous considering that it was "supposed" to be the 1st July release date) and the stamp was EN not CE but then I would throw a guess in the mix that this was the maker/supplier who is "trying" to get the dualality of test stamping stopped ;) unless of course this is a 4th pressure test certificate?

Q4 - What bottles will we need to play in the NPPL?.....DOT for sure, the other standards would only apply dependant on answer to Q2
