Gotta disagree with you there Jam - Games Workship is the grand old man of rip off merchants and not even the likes of JT and Diablo can compete with those blood sucking leaches!!!... HOW MUCH FOR A LEAD FIGURE?!?!??!

Wow, you could afford their LEAD figures? Most of my friends had to get the plastic ones

Yes, Games Workshop are a total rip off. I had a friend who used to work there & they payed peanuts as well, then expected unpaid overtime if they wanted to open up for a special event.

The plastic onbes are actually a bigger rip off.
The box they come in is actually worth more money than the plastic that's inside. The box usually costs around 20 pence to make, and the plastic is only 9 pence.... But they sell it for 15 pounds!

Thats why i stopped collecting them.

I am however into other games recently, and there is plenty of other manufactures of better models, for cheaper too!!!

I got more links and home which i can mail people later if they are interested.

Those figures cost about £1-£2 each, and are better detail then GW IMHO. They are also more gritty. I love the future war stuff, its excellent for playing terminator/predator type scenarios based on necromunda/Combat zone rules.

But then again, i don't know anything about any of this.

but 1 thing u tend to find with other wargaming companys that the mintures aint as good quality, like ICON minatures, the ww2 puta figures arent that impresive, ,,,

but they r cheaper, and they r metal,
GW - bought a new chaos sqaud the ther day, 8 chaos marines,
very very nice looking, excellent quality but £15 set me back,
the prices went up aswell so they r making more money then before, GW is just 1 big scam.

Mate, how can the economics of supply and demand be a scam? Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and I bet people are willing to pay for it at that price...
