Luckily i aint bought these tops but looking at the pictures of the tops i really cant see that they are gonna stop bouncers that much your shoulders are quiet a hard area anyway ie just bone and skin next they will be saying that all pballers which are carrying to much flab cant play pb cos the flab promotes bouncers cos its a soft area (hmm think im being abit to cynical there!!!) As for baggy tops you sure as hell dont see many teams wearing skin tight tops to play ball

Knee and elbow pads are usefull, but the ones that cover your shins and forarm too? No real reason for those exept to bounce paint.

I'm with Recoil, they seriously can't be thinking about banning knee pads. If you've got bad knee's it bloody well hurts to kneel on soft padded pillows let alone grass with the odd stone in it.

However I agree that tops with padding should be banned. Who cares if the ball stings for a bit, be brave people!

Agree on banning padding on tops there - i don't see the need.

Knee pads - in favour

Elbow - in favour

Forearm - in favour, although I agree they promote bounces, bellying in nowadays they are usefull for stopping rogue pegs

Shin - absolutely no need with supair.

In short - ban shin pads and shoulder pads, I get the whole non-slip bit on them, but not the padding.

Oh - and what about headwear? - I wear 2 or 3 layers of bandana/headwrap and yup it promotes bounces. The BK ones are ridiculously thick.

But AFAIK there are no rules covering that.

See how the panic sets in!!! I woould estimate left unchecked that within 10 more posts people will be convinced that

"All padding of any sort has been banned"

May I point out that they have Only mentioned tops with padded shoulders, and all you with poorly old knees can sleep easy in your beds. Although I worn knee pads for sliding protection I cant work out why you would need elbowpads?

TJ - Me thinks your a little s**t stirrer some days:p :p
What's tha matter things a bit slow for you today:D :D :D

not sure what you are implying here but no I dont wear them for the bounces, it has happened but that isnt why I wear my Trace Knee and shinpads.... I wear them purely to protect my knees and shins from hard ground, rough falls and to give me the confidence to slide in to bunkers....

Have you ever tried to quickly advance behind a snake ??? If yes there is no need for answer. If no try it and think all the time why you're not wearing elbow pads..
