No doubt that for those who make it to the podium, there will be few complaints, but for the rest of the teams, I wonder if you feel that the series, and each event thereof, provides value for money.

Travelling to Europe or within Europe and all the costs asscociated with that, and all for 8 games over 2 days, effectively increasing the entrance fee from last year.

Add to that the extra cost for balls due to ramping mode, the dissatisfaction with other things already posted, and for most I suspect that there may be a feeling that the cost is very high in overall terms.

Personally, I felt that a guaranteed 10 games was good value but the 20% reduction leaves me feeling a bit hard done by. I still thoroughly enjoy the events, and do not wish to criticise these per se, just the VFM they provide.

i think i am going to have to agree. what did it cost you boys per head all in?? around the £600 mark i am sure.

£600 for 8 games?? i think not. yes you can argue about getting to the sunday club but lets face it there is only a small percentage of teams who do.

local leagues, ie dartford etc cost approx £150-200 per head and no harm to anyone, the buzz is just as good and you get more bang per buck.

just a shame you dont get the chance to go up against some of the best teams in the world, which must be one reason why most play millenniums.

dusty - £150!!! you shooting gold marbels or something :D

i agree the cost for the MS event when you dont have good sponsorship is very high.

and people wonder why teams dont move up divisions and UK ballers get better!

why would you pay and extra 100 euros to move up to div 2 from div 3 and have less chance of winning?

anyone kno how much of our entry goes to prize money?

they need to make the event more cost effective, because at the moment, to pay that amount of money to play that amount of games is ridiculous!

i have flights from northern ireland to account for! hence the added cost.

and yes fair point you do get to go up against some of the best in the world depending on what division you are in.

still does not justify having to at least treble your costs how many times per year??

From a Div 3 perspective we play 3 games against higher div teams. Thats almost half the guaranteed games against teams not in our division. How does this help us prove we are the best div 3 team in Europe which is what the Millenium SERIES should be about? If we wanted to play higher level teams we could enter as a Div 1/2 team.

With the 10 games I can see it's less than a third of your games and perhaps OK but when it's closer to half??

And yes, 10 games should still be in force. We get more than 8 going upto the UKMasters each month (9 games)

My personal opinion!

From a Champions League / Pro perspective:
I think if they want to keep the prelims over to days, they must go back to 10 games. And i definitely see the problem with 8 games, if you don`t make it to the sunday club.

Since they are talking about taking it to an international standard, and that was their excuse to bring it down to 8 games, i think they also should take it all the way.
All prelims games in one day, and only on 2 fields. As it is now, we have to fly in wednesday , walk the fields Thursday, and then play Friday & Saturday (and hopefully sunday). This means that we have to take Wednesday (maybe), Thursday and Friday off work. Most of the times the only connecting flight back is monday, and that means 4 days of work! This and all the other expences related to playing Millenium, like hotel, flights, rental car etc. makes it pretty expencive.

If they could bring it down to one day with prelims and only 2 fields, means that we could fly in on fridays to walk 2 fields, and save 2 days on Hotel, rental car, eating in restaurants and the days off work. That is a lot of money in total, when we are 8 persons.

Bring back 10 games or do the prelims in one day, on 2 selected fields!

My personal opinion.
