smells like a plug for ''Balance'' gear ;)

Markie, as I stated this is not about any single manufacturer. The balance gear, which most of the legacy players use does not really help for welts and was not designed to do that. I have never used it so I don't know nor do I care.

The material would need to be harder, perhaps with something like a kevler coating on the outside. It could actually make the balls bounce less. I don't know if something like that could be made without it restricing the movement of the player, but as I said before I bet this is going to be an issue in the future.

Think about when the teams start playing professionally on a weekly basis.

I personally don't care too much about hits, I don't get bruised that bad but some of the small front guys who get bunkered a lot really look awful after a tournemnt. Same goes for refs as Steve noted. Perhaps that would be a good place to start experimenting, somebody should make special outfit for refs that are light, not too hot to wear and would give enough protection against hits on the entire body.

Steve, word on the grapevine is that Dye tops are fine as they are, with shoulder padding.

Feel free to ignore me if I'm poking my nose in or have been misinformed.
Like I said before, Dye tops with padded shoulders may have been allowed so far in the NXL but that doesn't mean they will be allowed in Millennium X Ball.

If I have my way they won't be allowed because they never should have been.

Egi,

Again, in all respect, this is a major leap in logic if you think disallowing clothing with padding in the wrong places means I want players to be bruised and welted.

In principle I agree with your suggestion that the whole industry go to some kind of full-body-armor system that protects the body while still allowing paintballs to break.

Egi, the reference i used to the ''Balance'' gear was based on taht it is a good product.
Still it doesn't work for the front players catching 30+ balls a day, they still look like torture victims.
The fact that there is still no custom gear for referees is mindbogling, someone should step in to that void.

now back on topic :D

whats the ruling on beanies that are a inch thick ?

if a Dye jersey promotes ''bounce'' what do they do then ?

It doesn't mention anything about DYE being illegal or pink and orange being disallowed.
I guess if you reffer to the rules as you do in you above post i supose you mean the latest version of the MS rules (v1.2)?

If i want to have 12 new shirts here in time for Maxs i and many
other player are going over our deadline with 12 day to go.

p.s. i noticed that DYE is not a major sponsor of the MS, maybe there in lies the problem ;)
Unfortunately there has of yet not been a clear decision regarding exactly what the rules will be for Maxs Masters. It has gone back in forth in our internal discussions between using the current NPPL rules with some modifications and using the latest Millennium rules (1.2) with some modifications.

One of the main reasons I have come on this forum is to give some warning that there are certain possibilities. I expect that pink and orange very well might be banned like in the other three major leagues and I have already expressed myself about extraneous padding.

I wish things were simpler but coordinating all the major leagues, the players and the manufacturers sure ain't easy.

Sorry, you misunderstand me - I mean that the grapevine says they will be allowed in the Mill Series this year.
