Questions…

How could Millennium struggle if NPPL comes here with even three, much less five, tournaments? Seems to me they (Millennium) would either be dead or totally integrated with NPPL. Or is there room in Europe for two major league series? And if so, could we see some of the Millennium promoters doing NPPL and some the others doing some form of X Ball? Are things going to get even further fragmented in Euro-American PB so that it is even more likely that many top teams in the world can’t play against each other so we can’t get a simple answer to “Who’s best?”?

If too many tournaments have been a bane this year for Europeans how could Europe support more than one series?

If I admire both NPPL and X Ball is that bigamy or big-o-me?

Does liquid soap cause more or less dry skin?

We need answers!

Steve

PS. While we’re winding the rumor mill, I heard that one of Europe’s top tournaments might totally change cities. And I don’t mean to the suburbs or a nearby city.

1. By struggle, I meant to struggle to stay in existence...and yeh, Momma sees some promoters doing some bed jumping; including one potentially monumentous move...but that would be telling.

2. Only by one being 7-Man and one being X - perhaps NXL/PSP may try and counter by co-opting Millennium into a world X-Series?

3. Neither, it's politically very wiseofyou.

4. More, always moisturize.

PS When Tha Thin White Duke sang Ch-ch-ch-changes, he was having an affair with Momma, and he peered into her crystal ball...what is about to happen was his inspiration.:D

Think of it as an opportunity for the MS to up the ante. Get lean and mean and more effective.
Why is the NPPL the series it is today? Because right off the top they had to be better than the other guy. The MS folks may not like the idea of the NPPL showing up in their backyard--particularly after the MS has helped validate their efforts on the Euro side by "sharing" events--but it can only work to the players advantage for the time-being.
And unless the NPPL wants to jump into Euroball with both feet the MS has distinct advantages it can play to in any competition for customers.

Actually I don´t think it would. Why? Cus the NPPL will have all the top teams playing and that will draw most euro teams across since players usually want to come play and watch the best of the best.

But, if the NPPL moves in and only hold say 3 tournaments in euroland then there WILL be a need for another league since not many teams will want to play 3 events only. Lets just hope that we don´t get that scenario though, as it would be sad for the teams that can not venture across to the states to play two different series with say three legs in each.

I'm suprised they would attempt to go over to europe and host events instead of adding 1 or 2 more events to their US schedule. They would get more teams to show, per event, if they spread out their events over 5 or 6 different regions of the US rather than going to europe. Their travel expenses would also be much less too. Their events are already selling out so why not host events in regions that they have ignored for the past year or two.

The whole reason for any expansionist plans is predicated upon the notion of a World League, understand and accept this and everything begins to fall into place....and if you truly understand it, you can work out which way it is likely to go and what short term effects it has for players and teams and what mid to long term effects it has for paintball in general.
As long as the way the game is played (whether format change or field design) is significanlty tweaked, then all should be well with this policy of expansionism; if NPPL conservatism is allowed to rule the roost instead of Pure Promtion's creative genius then the future is in the balance, allow the necessary evolutions to take place and we should all be fine.
