World cup style event

Now your talking, that would be awesome. Of course getting it organised would be something else. Of course that doesn't mean it could not be done.
A few things to consider though. Most importantly, would enough teams be able to commit to a 5-day paintball event. To make it viable you would need a turn out which barring the likes of Campaign Cup hasn't been seen in the UK. Then there's the entry fee to consider, what would teams be willing to pay to play both the 5-man and 7-man events. Would we see a big turn out for the 7-man and then find that there are not enough teams to play the 5-man to make it worth the while putting it on as well.
We are never ones to pull away from a challenge though and if there is indeed the interest out there we may be willing to give it a go.
Let us know what you think.

What is this fasination with playing in europe and playing 7 man.

Not every team can afford to play in europe, i know that if we did we would have to miss out on the local events as we couldn't pay for all of it:(

As for 7 man, when you increase the size of the team you increase the amount of problems for the captain, the team paint bill goes through the roof as do all other associated costs.

But after saying that if the MM put on an event like the world cup but abit smaller, i,e. 3 day (bank holiday) 7 man or 5(i don't care which, i'll play both, but one or the other) with an entry fee of about £300 - £400, i would play it and i think the rest of the team would.

Oh and make it all sup-air on nice flat grass, it don't have to be in a stadium (campaign was nice but did it bring in the public to watch us play) as long as the players get a nice LARGE area to set up in (not a cramped marquee with 1 table per team) and spectator area's surrounded with high qaulity netting. Make the fields intresting to play, try out some new shapes or make some up from plywood and mix it with the sup-air but please
NO WOODLAND.

world cup

I agree with the man up top, it you only have to look at the number of teams that have enterd for shoot II the price is fair the venu is bloody fantastic and the atmosphere well enough said on that. But If you guys did put on some thing like a long weekend and if the price was fair then Im sure thet you would be fighting them off with a stick, As this was our first tournament we cant comment on any of the others ,But what I can say is that if we had to get more players so we could play 7 man format then we could do it no problem.:D At the same time as your man said sitting out a game is a big bummer:( also having to rotate your team is a nightmare I know trust me on that factor.I also think that the MM should have some form of a council to throw things around I know that we do on line but its better to do it face to face i think. As it was mentioned last week, well that my thoughts see you lot on sunday all the best

We have just negotiated a deal with Warped Sports who will be suppling high pressure Air(up to 4500 psi) at all of our future events, this will come at a cost, £1 per fill, well the question is do you want it? and do you think i is a fair price to pay?

Second up, we are aware of the current mood in the tourny scene, and as such want to ask the question, do you want more or less Concept events?

Limited Paint, at round four we introduced a new ltd paint format did it work?, shall we keep it?

Finals, would you like to see play-offs and a final at every event, or are you happy with the league format?

Discipline, and this one is going to be tough, when an incident occurs on the field we propose a reporting system where the team Captains and head marshal submit a report to us at MM, on the basis that we would then consider suitable penalties, these will vary from suspention, loss of series points to a complete ban.
We could publish the findings here!
Or we could form a council of Captains who would be mailed all repots and asked to vote on the outcome.

You may have noticed the St Johns Ambulances at our events, we have them booked for every event just in case.

Finally next season we are considering id cards for all players, what do you think?

Hi,

First off excellent job so far!!

4500 psi fills, fee added to the entry fee.
Format, majority Supair if not all would be nice!
Finals, Happy with the league format!
Discipline, sounds good, A council would be a great idea.
St Johns is an excellent step!
ID cards also a damn good idea!

Paul.
