Your help is required again, in order for us at MM to provide YOU the players with the best that we can, we need your help. So a couple of questions for you.

We have just negotiated a deal with Warped Sports who will be suppling high pressure Air(up to 4500 psi) at all of our future events, this will come at a cost, £1 per fill, well the question is do you want it? and do you think i is a fair price to pay?

Second up, we are aware of the current mood in the tourny scene, and as such want to ask the question, do you want more or less Concept events?

Limited Paint, at round four we introduced a new ltd paint format did it work?, shall we keep it?

Finals, would you like to see play-offs and a final at every event, or are you happy with the league format?

Discipline, and this one is going to be tough, when an incident occurs on the field we propose a reporting system where the team Captains and head marshal submit a report to us at MM, on the basis that we would then consider suitable penalties, these will vary from suspention, loss of series points to a complete ban.
We could publish the findings here!
Or we could form a council of Captains who would be mailed all repots and asked to vote on the outcome.

You may have noticed the St Johns Ambulances at our events, we have them booked for every event just in case.

End of year presntation will be held at Shoot the Rainbow II, which is almost full.

Finally next season we are considering id cards for all players, what do you think?

Well guys there a fair bit to be going on with, so lets here your views. Post all your replies here let us know what you think.

Thanks to ALL of you for making the Midlands Masters an outrageous success.

Hi Blakey,

first of all i wrote a massive reply to this and now ive lost it, so ive had to do it again!!!!

Tourney fields

I think i speak for a lot of people when i say that we want more Sup'air, woodlands is great but in todays style of play, which is fast and aggressive, the two dont mix. As was found last monday when Oakeymon bust his leg...... Small tree stumps and roots sticking out everywhere is a recipe for disaster! Some concept is Ok, as long as there are sup'air fields along with it. i loved the net field the other weekend by the way!, but tyres and barrel fields are not too bad either.

Air

This one is a toughy, I think increasing the game fee a little to cover unlimited fills is a better idea alltogether, players arent gonna pay a pound per fill, especially when all they need is a top up.

Finals

this is a brilliant idea, it gives teams in lower divisions to play against more experienced teams, it also gives you something to look forward to if your in it or just watching!
It gives teams a goal for the day, just playing for first is a bit boring, you want to see how you fare against the other divisions aswell as your own.

paint

This idea was great, and it worked well. so...... keep it!

Discipline

i think your idea will hit the nail on the head, get captains and marshalls to report the incident, also i think judges from the sidelines shold get more involved as they are the ones who see it all!

As for the ambulances, its great to know there is help if its needed. oakeymon needed a blood transfusion cause he lost so much blood, if there were St.johns at every event this could help save peoples lives.....

Is there a real security need to have I.D cards?

hope this helps

Chris

Fields

Keep the Supair just make them a little larger, carnt play ball on a postage stamp!!. Continue with the concept fields and chuck in the odd woodland field or have a complete woodland tourny.

Air

There are still people using co2 (i know its odd) but to ask them to pay extra for something they wont use dont make sense. May be best to ask the teams who want to use it pay some thing extra.

Finals

as said adds some thing extra to play for, keep it going

Discipline

awkward one i think it requires to be done by somebody, who has no relationship with the teams and the organisers (completly unbiased). May be judges watching game from the side line and taking notes of incidents missed by the on field judges this is then submitted to the disciplinery board who then report the incident to the team captain, and the team then suffer the consquences, playing games a player short points deduction etc

This would require all teams to register there squad and then give every body a number with in the squad, that coinsides with the team rosta. Making it easy for judges to report and follow teams. (all team players must have there team number on show back arms etc).

good idea to have some kinda medical service close by just in case of any accidents (as has happend recently, get well soon guys)

other than that

keep upthe good work, see you on the 19th

With the air it'll be best to just charge a set rate added onto the entry fee rather than per fill, you could arrange it per player or per team as some teams will have a mix of co2 and air users.

Fields:
Concept is where its at these days, with a lot of teams playing campaign etc we'd all appreciate more SupAir

Air:
£1 per fill is a bit expensive, CO2 users get free fills anyway, maybe a small increase in day fee would mean everyone could fill for free :)

Finals:
Finals are a good idea except in the winter months where its best to get everyone playing when daylight is limited.

Discipline:
Having all captains and marshalls submit a report might take a long time, and its better that penalties get sorted as soon as possible instead of making people wait.
The field Ultimates at the MM are all experienced players and I think they can be trusted to deal out any penalties there and then. This gives you the option to ban players from the rest of the tournament if the iinfraction warrants it.

Air
Great idea but definatly on the dear side for me (tight fist),
may be a cover charge on the game fees, that said you cant please everyone all the time and i know you guys try.

Cocept Fields
Can have some more please sir,
we always seem to do badly in woods, like to whup some more ass.

Ltd Paint
Works fine for me adds a bit more brain work to the game without too much restriction.

Plays Offs
Ohh yes please

Disapline
Having never had any problems in this area yet difficult to make good comment but council of captains and marshalls would seem to be appropriate

Ambulance
After the event on Monday where players were injured this can only make sense, hope the guys recover.

I D
Why?

look forward to seing you all on sunday
is any one camping out, who has the barby ( not the doll )
Oh why not

fields

definatly concept. the woods is a scary place full of Squirrel’s , holy barricades , rec ballers and nasty tree stumps

air

a whole english pound a fill is a bit much ( especially for tax dodging students like my self) maybe include the cost in the game fee or a fiver per player for the whole day.

LTD paint

the new format definatly worked better , the limited paint should stay part of the series although i not agree whith the choose to use skirmish notts as a limited tourney by 2k2 series twice and the mm . Playing limited paint on hyperball is a crime.

Play offs

a good way to end the day even if you are just watching.

Discipline

the captains council is a good idea when the opions of the players involved onlookers and marshall all compiled in a report then the action voted on by captains. But will only be effective for major incidents (fights etc). It doesnt really sovle players playing on etc during game this is down purely to the marshalls doing the job correctly.

AIR
DEFINANTLY A GOOD IDEA ALTHOUGH I THINK THE PRICE SHOULD BE PUT ON THE ENTRY COST MAYBE AROUND A FIVER PER PERSON THAT USES AIR AS SOME TEAMS ARE STILL USING CO2 BUT A GOOD MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

FIELDS
CONCEPT FIELDS ARE BRILL AS MOST TOURNEYS ARE GOING THAT WAY NOW . WOULD BE GOOD TO SEE MORE.

LTD PAINT
THE NEW FORMAT WORKED REALLY WELL A GOOD MOVE THUMBS UP.

FINALS
CANT SEE THE POINT IN PLAYING THE TOP SCORING TEAM OF THE DAY IN DIV A IF YOUR THE HIGHEST SCORING TEAM IN B ?
BUT IF IT WAS DONE IN YOUR OWN DIV THEN MAYBE WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.

DISCIPLINE
SOUNDS A GOOD IDEA. WOULD POSS STOP BAD ARGUMENTS ON FIELD AND HOLDING GANES UP.

I think that sup air is the way to go You cant fail As for the air I think that the price could be less because it only costs 2 quid to fill a dive bottle, The concept is good the argument is fair but if you put a few quid on the entry fee then that would solve the problem,If you charge a fiver per man for all day fills thats 25 quid the team has to fork out so therefor they would bring there own or if they were sneekey one man pays a fiver and fills up the whole team. so thats my answer to that.

The LTD paint was good but, I thought LTD was ,LTD not a hopper and 3 pods at the captains discretion cause its not realy limited then is it.

As for the discipine I think that a captains councilwould work also having numbers on your person ( ie arm bands ) so if you give any lip then you get busted simple
,If you still give lip then your team forfits the game to the others.

My other point on that matter is If you start to get voilent then your team sould be disqualified from that days tournement.
No excuse just get out ( I will probabley get a kicking for this but thats my thoughts.)
cheers steve.

Air - £1 a fill is a bit expensive, when you think hwo many time you fill up in a day. I would perhapes increase the entry fee to accomidate this, then again if you whack up the entry fee for everybody because of the air then the Co2 users are going to get pissed off.

Fields - More SupAir please, I know for a fact that our team would turn up to more event's as the Cap and Vice captain don't want to play woods at all.

Ltd Paint - Keep it, it stops me from spending my hard earned cash on paint.

Discipline - Could be a good idea might need some working on, the idea of reports could be good. Like the FA have reports from the refs and fines could be good too.

Play-offs - Naaaah, there's no point when your running a league format.
