Really!

Refs actually change ther minds throught this neandertholic browbeating! It is a disgrace that someone would even think of changing their minds! Even if it is the wrong decision the ref should stick to it for the sake of their integrity as a referee!
I think training is definately in order if that's the case!
Cheers for enlightening me Tom!

Personally I find any kind of abuse on a game official appalling. Of course, this comes from a guy only a year out of high school, where I played american football, hockey and lacrosse. In my exprience, any sort of abuse on an official brought down serious laods of crap all over the player. It is completely innapropriate for a player to strike a ref/marshal for any reason. Northy_Delta, I have no knowledge of the situation, I'm sure you made the appropriate call for the situation, but the first message that has to be spread to players is that the game officials are always right (wether they are or not), and theres no use arguing. This is hard to do with the present situations of player/judges and the absence of an independant reffing association, but I think that is a major first step toward gaining the public respect paintball deserves.

And I'm with Jahlad, pay or not, players have no right to abuse the officials.

Robinator marshalls can change there mind for the better aswell, a good team of marshalls work together and can point out something a fellow marshal may not have seen at the time, as believe it or not paintballs travel quite quickly and the amount of pressure to make a split second decision is far from easy.

That said, I thought Delta marshalled probably the best I've seen for a long time
thanks liz!!!

Ok northy I can not work out if this happend at the indoor or series 2003 or maybe the Midland masters but what i can tell you is this myself as ultimate of the first two and blakey as ultimate of the midland masters if we had been informed would at the very least read the riot act to the player involved whoever it was and more than likely banned them from the tournement also the team if that was appropriate.

And if that happend the player/team involved would also be banned from all the above tournaments untill we both agreed they could start playing again and if it was an act of violence it might never happen.

If anything like this ever happens again you must report it to your field ultimate and if he thinks it warrants it then to the tourney ultimate who WILL deal with it.

As for the delta marshaling ability I will tell you this - On field one we had some of the most experienced no nonsense marshals in the UK who are in control of just about anything that can happen on the field.

On field two we had Delta.

Field two recieved the marshals of the tournement award.

ALL PLAYERS

When a player enters a game he should be aware he has a great chance of getting shot mugged etc , bad calls happen if you cant take em, the player should find another sport .

I felt the judging on field 2 was better, I also saw what happened with that abusive player. The fool totally missed the guy he was shooting at, then got all sloppy, hung out yelling for a paint check and got tagged.....typical fool mistake. He made himself look even more stoopid by sounding off at the judges, when all the crowd could see he was totally wrong. FOOL!
I was hoping the other team would bonus ball his ass off the field but it didnt happen, shame.
