Yes it is political correctness, nothing wrong in that, to gain global exceptance being PC "is" required.
Too true Mark, Too true - We had a bitch of a time convincing (SL)Easyjet that we weren't Gun-runners:(

It's Markers all the way with me.

Take a (paintball) magazine with you and show them what are you talking about! That works most of the time. And tell them first that you got paintball marker dont wait untill they ask that only lead to problems.

Did both of those - ended having a two hour conversation with Load control, then finally spoke to the captain who needed 5mins to convince:rolleyes:

Just unlucky I guess - The Sharks had gone thru a few hours earlier with no problems

Can you imagine what I've been through when we tried to board the plane back from Poland? Man there were at least 4-5 teams gone before us with full gear but noooo these "nice people" made us almost miss our plane. The assmunchers..

well, they only do their job, right? not everyone can know about paintball...and then...maybe the girls from the control liked you and wanted to do a "search" for hidden weapons on you;)

i generally referr to my baby as mylene. :p

but otherwise i tend to call it a marker, and if people don't ubderstand i call it a paintball gun, and if they dont understand then, i slap them ;)

I've always said marker. Don't really see that it's a problem calling it that. As for the definition of "gun" it's not one, but the term has come to mean anything with a handle and trigger really. I just think "gun" makes us sound a bit sad (cowboys and indians), so I say marker so I don't sound like a 12 year old, not to be PC.
