Mark mate, i have been an advocate of evrything that Sparklie has done with the series. The state of the reffing IN NO WAY reflects on her. She did the best she could, and provided every advantage for the judges to do a good job...what more can she do?? It has been a great series so far, i dont really know how she can overcome the problems of bad marshalling

BAD TO THE BONE
"i think the Field ultimate could have made a nuteral call. Tigers did not want to know about a replay which seemed to be an easy way out for me, so i decided to back the Field ultimates call."

"as for the tigers. They chose not to help me out that was their perrogative..............."
It may of been an easy way out for you but it would of been the wrong decision.
I OFFERED BOZ A REPLAY KNOWING WHAT THE LIKELY ANSWER WOULD BE.
I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR AN EASY WAY OUT BUT I'LL SAY THIS MUCH.THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN BOZ WILL BE DEMANDING A REPLAY FOR SOME REASON AND I'LL BE OBLIGED TO ASK THE OTHER CAPTAIN AND FIELD ULTIMATE FOR THEIR REACTION AND I THINK I KNOW WHAT THE LIKELY ANSWER WILL BE.

It reflects badly on the state of 'play' of uk paintball (south).

Sparkilie has provided every advantage for the players to have a good tournament. She cannot dictate how much the players will push every aspect of play in every game. Therein lies the problem.

Get rid of the bad players:D

OK, well last Sunday was the only M25 I have been able to play but I have marshalled/helped organise/ set up every other leg (and Sunday which i was particularly proud of :))

Purely from a players' point of view I saw a lot of rule bending and some quite blaitant rule breaking which made me wonder whether there's any point in putting so much of my time into this series. I only saw a couple of bad decisions made by marshals and one game where I'm sorry to say the marshal was blaitantly biased.

If players are going to take the p155 this badly, why are they playing the game? The most basic rules of our game were being pushed to the limit and sadly broken by a several teams. OK so the refs weren't always on top of it but they were doing a good job considering the level of **** they had to put up with and the amount of disrespect and rule breaking going on.

Ralph,
Regarding the Tigers game with Shock Am, the refs made some poor calls during that game and at the end the result was given in favour of the Tigers (who said whining gets you nowhere).
After the game i expressed my annoyance to both yourself and Sparklie, and you investigated the incident. You informed me that Boz did not want a re-match and i said that i would not have expected him to. Two of the Tigers did come to our staging room later in the day and said that the game had been confusing and that they would of replayed but Boz did not want to, once again i told them that i did not blame him. For me the matter was closed. But you have come on here ensinuating that we are sore losers. Get your facts right and dont try and stir , that also goes for Mark Toye. What Sam has come on here and said are his own opinions, which appear to be of the Judges and not what Sparklie is doing for paintball.

Everyone is giving them the excuse that it was hot. Well Toulouse last year was between 90 and 100 degrees and we judged for three days, judged over 130 games and gave it our all. We did not think to say to Dynasty and Russian Legion late on the second day that we were tired, hot and we all make mistakes. Now i know that the teams at the M25 may not all be of that calibre but we are all paying customers. In three days at Toulouse we had just one team that disagreed with a decision, because we judged in a manner that we would like to see ourselves. That is why we made the effort at Dunstable, mainly because Patrina wanted to stop the bad press about the judging and we did not want to let her down.

No one from my team said that they would not play another M25 leg, it was myself that was going to pull the team out on Sunday after being on the recieving end of some bad calls and watching some of our friends in other teams also being on the recieving end. But credit to Shock Pro, Dark Ritual, Tsunami, Jaguars and my team mates for saying just get on with it and so we did.

Ralph, if you have got a problem then you best ring me.

Thanks for listening, Rich :D ( see all happy now )

Stirring?? Me?? You dont know me that well then!!

I wasnt stirring - I may have replied on the basis of false information but my intention wasnt to flame anyone!

If you were going to pull out of the series then I stand by my 'advice' - anyone who pulls from tournaments or refuses to carry on a series for the reasons implied are sore losers!!

But as you point out that isnt the case - and if you read my post carefully then you'll see that there was no flame - it was a little more balanced and reasoned than you seem to think.

Hopefully you'll see that I have no agenda (- and maybe no right to post) and certainly have no cause to put you guys in a bad light. You've put your side - this stuff happens - you feel agrieved (who wouldnt?) - end of story.

See you at the next one then

Mark
