I think us (storm 3) are probably in the right division looking at the other teams, I think storm 2 are a little out of place where they are though

everyone in 2 is very clearly Am ranked.
I dont think we are Am ranked ! we have never played Am domestic or international, and never really played 7 man, 4 of us were on the storm novice team at the indoor, the other three are relatively new guys, this is not a dig or a whinge, I still I think we can win a few games.

Looking forward to it.

i have a couple of questions in regard to teams moving up and down divisions.

1. With a top prize of sponsership to the winning novice team How will this be won if teams are moving around is this in each divison

So how is all this going to be won

Andy Piper of extreme rage has offered a whole years sponsorship to the over all winning novice team.
(the winning team must play all 6 events to qualify)

Recca Barrels have offered playing tops and I’m waiting for confirmation of a trade stand.
5 jam bolts, brilliant anti chop bolts for cockers.
WDP will also be providing small prizes at each event.
Ledz of Planet has offered and end of series prize
Plus trophies

our second tourney and we are looking forward to meeting and playing against better teams:(

Wibble,

i think what you are saying about that division seems quite out of place.

Blackstar played novice at campaign for reason, it is my guess if they arent still novice then they have only stepped up to am b?

And sinners being the only match? i am curious, whic team do you play for, because it cant be too much of a londan area team, as practically that whole division a few good men, sinners, blackstar, residue dogs, uk marshalls 2 etc

they all used to play at temple, and were all equally (more or less) matched to each other

to me this is one of the best picked divisions, and should be some very good games if everyone plays within the rules ;)

We recognise the need to compete with the best and are glad that we have been put into the top division. The M25 is a great practice forum for the Millennium series, of which we will be playing every leg, it therefore does us no favours playing against anything but the best the M25 has to offer opposition wise. I think that every team that wants to improve should strive to be in the top diviision at every event, regardless of past results. Why should teams be satisfied with playing at a lower level than they should be playing? if you play the best you improve....if you dont, then you wont. Simple.

I for one am looking forward to this event, and the chance to play top opposition regularly, as it benefits all teams involved.

whilst i hear what you say SJT, when you are performing at the level that you guys do i agree, play better teams and learn the most. But what will you learn if you get 5 illiminations on the break? f**k all mate. teams i agree want to be stretched, but not slaughtered!

Not sure what you mean Gaff, do you mean that we will get slaughtered in that top division?

Even if that were the case (which i assure you that it isnt) where does winning all 7 games last time against easier opposition, then going to Portugal and playing Cyclone, Paintballgateway, Bad Company, Hardcore etc........get us. Other than a false sense of confidence.

teams that improve faster play teams of similar playing ability, and for us that means that we need to be in that top division, not sandbaging in the second division

I would of thought Uk Marshal's 2 would of dropped a division... No disrespect to our second team... This was i believe mentioned to the event organisers... But....

Can it still be changed?

I dont think gaff was saying that mate, he did say he agreed when at your level, storm 2 arent there YET!!, so they will probably have a tough time, I am sure they will go with the correct and professional attiude and try their best though.

Good luck everyone.

I AGREE with you sjt19 ,its the best way to learn ..if you play against better teams then any mistakes you make they WILL punish you for them .Teaches you to play better...And as for losing 5 players to sweet spotting .......best you re think your running lanes again if that happens..This is my 2nd tourney game (REDZ NOV) and i for 1 cant wait .If i get LIT up every game then it will make me wonder what ive done wrong and how to improve :D

Just read all four pages, comments.................

If storm 2 has mainly nov players, who the hell is in storm 3 and wheres the rest of your squad. Whilst I appreciate you will obviously have a hard time, could you not have entered as Storm, Pro Nov and Rookie, thereby making it clear the level of your teams ??? Or whas it a case of enter 1st and find the teams later ?

Series prizes this is a serious issue and I will start a seperate thread on this.

Sam, Good on you, but not everybody is using this as millenium practice. Lower down this is there millenium !

I belive, in the end only time will allow the seedings to settel down. But it must be decided to either do year long seadings ala mill series, OR, promotion and religation with series points where-by the last place in div x gets more series points than first place in div y. And prises are decided on final series rankings all in. (or by 1st rd classification)
