hampshire uk
Was just coming on duty when it hit the news (firefighter) my station is responsible for the crewing of the governments mass decontamination vehicle in hampshire, due to being the crew that would go anywhere in Southern england in response to terrorist biological or chemical attacks, we tend to be kept reasonably up to date on the threats to the UK, When we're told about threats it's never an 'IF' it's a 'WHEN'- i hope it's a NEVER.

My thoughts go out to all the emergency workers and members of the public involved/ caught up in this horrible horrible mess.

United States......BITCHES!
My prayers, and my countries' backing are with you UK, as you backed us on Spetember 11th...and I'd like to share one thing from ally to ally. Always remember:

Islam is to Terrorsism
as
Christianity is to the Ku Klux Klan

It took me a long time to realize that not all muslims were at fault, and I know some are hating muslims right now, but dont fall into that trap.

On the other hand, I fully believe an RPG to the chest is the fitting punnishment to the extremists who kill in the name of a religion.

Im just sorry annother country had to experience what Madrid and the U.S. got. :(

I dont suppose that many people, with a reasonable level of intelligence and moral standing, will tar them all with the same brush...a Terrorist, is just that, their racial background or religious beliefs, have no part in it...only their actions and intentions.

From a Muslim standpoint, there is nothing to say that they should go around killing people...it is only how the ring leader, chooses to interpret the Quoran (sp?), as most Muslim's will tell you.

There's not much interpretation in it to be honest Skeet - even in war it's against the Islamic way to kill an innocent person (ie civilian). If you do, you go to hell, plain and simple.

ruthlessp8ntballer - it's not like this is a new experience for the UK, and certainly London, over here we had year upon year of IRA bombings, hence the emergency services are so well prepared for events such as those of last Thursday, and are probably the best in the world at dealing with the aftermath - both immediate response, and the piecing together the clues and tracking down the scum that did this.

I am going to take that little quote and use it whenever anyone says islamic terrorists to me though :)

I'd like to say that all Australians thoughts and well wishes are with those effected by this callous act.

Interesting fact.
There are on average 300,000 Australians in London every day.
One of those was on the train that got bombed and he was also in the "Sari club" in Indonesia when it got bombed 2 years ago.
He survived both without serious injury.

Some call him unlucky as I call him very lucky indead.

The line between living in a secure country and living in a country where your rights mean little is so thin that it can be crossed before we know it.
