One reason I've noticed is 'pot hunters'.

A team works their way up the divisions until they stop winning. After a while at this level they disband then reform under a new name and start in a much lower division where of course they cream all opposition. I know a couple of people who have left teams for just this reason as there is very little development past a certain point as they never stick around long enough playing in the higher divisions.

This also has a detrimental effect on new teams in lower divsions who find themselves up against seasoned players who are just out for more trophys.

i joined a team that just started with a mix of young and old players, we are enjoying playing and have just incorporated some players from an existing team that has dispanded, they folded as they (as far as i know can be corrected!) were unable to gurantee a squad each game. The team that they came from was more "advanced and professional" than we are but in a sence that was a downfall as we don't do selections and are willing to accept anyone as long as they want to play and enjoy themselves.:D

oh and unless the team folds i won't be leaving:) I'm too old/fat/slow/lazy/unfit/badplayer to be poached! :D :D

Ive never managed more than a season if that. I tell people what they dont want to hear and as such usually im asked to leave. Pity people cant handle the truth sometimes...

There's only one team i ever fitted in with and they all ****ed off out of paintball.

Cu*ts
But you put things so eloquently Mario...I really feel for you mate, it's hard to understand:D

Teh team I am on at the mo, though new...is odd..we don't reaally train too often, yet we play well (well, we have improved loads)..and while we all get on and are mates, we arent in each others pockets.

Its like having a "fcuk buddy" I guess....you can have them for years and still get on great!

Average team age I'll guess 3 to 4 years.

But I used to play for Wolf-pac/Wolf UK, they were around for yonks but only now changed their name to Karnage.

Then a season with Fallen Angels - they are still going:)

But now the Tigers Family, and they have been around at the top for ages:D
