i was with a team for ten years and only jumped ship to take a break (family  ), team changed after that and i joined another team, with some players from my original squad, if you have a natural bond with in the group then there really is no limit........ except old age.
I have been balling with some guys for 16 years, and still have no idea what there going to do next:D

Started with the Cameronians in 1990, changed the name to the Clan in 2002...still going strong baby......

I would say most teams would last 2/3 years, with constant player changes. I would say the average life of a player.....maybe 5/6 years, but it depends how much they love it...peoples lives change, family, work, kids etc etc, but if paintball is REALLY your passion you will always make time and money to play.

I'm 16 years playing, 2 kids to my EX WIFE who hated paintball so guess my passion is there, as for now, still playing but my new mrs works for my paintball company and we have a daughter or 3, so I'm kinda lucky.

Damn........I have been in the game as long as Robbo.....fk I'm old!!

Our team is playing it's third season.

Since starting we have only had two players jump ship to another team for "perceived benefits". All other losses have been attritional as people move away/stop playing.

We have moved up a division each season and the squad has grown each season.

A factor that may have resulted in this is the team was not formed around a core of "mates" but based on geographic region. We have I think the most Internationally diverse team as we pick up people moving to London. As well as someone to play paintball with they make friends through the team helping to lock them in. Also, the majority of our recruits are "never played before" so they have a bit more loyalty as we are their first team and such a well run one at that :)

I guess that's a no to my request then??
I asked for a name change, but it wasnt to do with my team, i just wanted my forum name to be my paintball nickname (Cusack) so that people would know it was me when i posted, without having to be told, though im sure i'll live

..and i've been with my first team aftermath for not that long...3 tourneys this weekend, been into supair for about 7 months

EDIT ADDED: all name change requests need to go to Robo or Beaker. And of course most of your post is what pm's are for. And seriously you haven't been playing long enough to have a pball nickname. :) TFP

I've been on Escarmouche for 7 years, i don't ever see myself playing for another team, that may have something to do with Escarmouche being the only team on the island of Ireland though :) .

As seems to be the way with most of paintball politics generally gets in the way. (that and real life). I've played touney ball for the last 6 years, and played on one team for 3, and 'floated' for the rest..... I think sometimes the bond of team mates will transcend the loyalty to a team, which will often break said team apart.....

Apocalypse is an old team - 6 years, and most of it at the bottom - which is a testament to it's longevity, although it has been through 5? virtually complete roster changes in that time. Shame really, 'cos the second generation would all be Div1 by now if they's stuck at it.....
