The question isn't 'And just what is the NPPL's Big Plan'?, because the NPPL is part of the big plan ...... if you wanna know what's going on then think 'Hoover' and if you can work that out I'd be impressedAnd just what is the NPPL's Big Plan?
Thanks, Pete. I do have a fair idea. I simply put it in the NPPL context as shorthand. The question isn't 'And just what is the NPPL's Big Plan'?, because the NPPL is part of the big plan ...... if you wanna know what's going on then think 'Hoover' and if you can work that out I'd be impressed
And to help you along a little further ... think pyramid...think outside of the box ....think, who could be the new Pharaoh?
Have fun !

Interesting - hadn't thought of that angle. The Fox deal (in the short term) at least would seem safe - since teams are looking to exit the expense of the PSP events ... and the target market for the product (i.e. general non-playing public) won't know what's been going on for the last little while - ignorance is blissWho does TV follow?
In Boston the FSN guys were following around and filming select Pro team on and off the field. So what happens to the TV product when Pro teams start dropping by the wayside? Will the league(s) step in one way or another to try and stabilize the situation or simply let's the chips fall where they may?
And just what is the NPPL's Big Plan? (Boston was a miserable venue and registration was down over last year's numbers.)
Could be - but only at the very top of the Pro level . I'd be keen to understand what measurement mechanism that sponsors of teams are putting in place to track any sales that MIGHT result from the TV coverage.Or is the very fact some Pro teams will appear on TV validation for their sponsors of the expenditures supporting those teams?
One man pulling the strings Or a reference to Hoovers plan to take the States out of the Depression by ensuring the economic health of major banks and industries, trusting that their continued functioning would spread benefits to the working masses. .... close?Robbo said:The question isn't 'And just what is the NPPL's Big Plan'?, because the NPPL is part of the big plan ...... if you wanna know what's going on then think 'Hoover'
As is anyone who owns a team/involved financially in the industry I would guess.Baca Loco said:I'm up for getting with the program if somebody would lay it out for me but at this point I'm more than a little suspicious of the next pig in a poke.

It does however seem to me that paintball has had a regular chorus line of Big Plan's over recent years and the abiding feature of all of them is that a rather small group is aware of the particulars and everyone else is expected to get with the program. I'm up for getting with the program if somebody would lay it out for me but at this point I'm more than a little suspicious of the next pig in a poke. And if it's a really Big Plan just tell me how it's good for paintball as that's the only part I really care about but until I know I'm avoiding all and sundry bandwagons.
