Its the same with nearly all sports though. The u.s has a much larger youth/college sport system where millions of dollars are spent in bring new young players into all sports. Some of their colleges have 40,000 seater stadiums. Name a school in the U.K that has a stadium????????

Apart from holding their drink the americans win and most sports.

Que abuse towards me................ go....................

Shockwave confuse me. I mean, at simply the best this year they were absolutely awesome. They were literally mowing through teams but then choked when they played the Tigers who played a very conservative, slow game all day....don't make sense.

Al, what don't make sense is the downer you seem to have on the Tigers. Why not admit we are the better team, for this year at least?

Don't get me wrong, we love Shock but we have played them maybe 6-7 times in competition this year and won every time. What don't make sense??

The teams that I am in current discussion on playing with when I go back to the U.S., train at least every other weekend with 1 tournament a month. Some U.S. teams train every weekend all weekend long and drive and fly great distances to do so. Plus, the talent pool is soooo much larger in the States because there are so many more ballers over there. How many times have we had this discussion:rolleyes: ;)
When/where are you going? I am going back in April to CO.

some are a little mis-informed

Shockwave perhaps should not have entered as Shockwave

They had about half a team at the event, this year has of course not been there best by any stretch, after practice last week it is pretty evident they have some building to do yet again

You all seem to forget they have lost some very influential and key players that helped with the teams success and these players are not easily come by

I have played against the Tigers on about 75 occasions in my history with about 6 different teams and seen them go through all sorts of changes and breaks, it takes a hell of a lot of time to bring new players on and turn them into PRO players of any substance and I am sure if Shock carry on in there quest they will again become a major force and still worry most teams on the circuit

As far as I know they had a mixture of 3-4 teams on the squad and would have decided to play the CUP for a reason
1, its the major event in the Calendar
2, You have a great time with like minded people
3, you see a lot of friends and make some more
4, your sponsors like you travelling, even if you bomb
5, I dont think they expected to win

If some teams travelled and did not play the experience from watching would be priceless perhaps these new teams that are practicing and pretenders should have thought of that, far more value than 6 training days

Yours Sincerely

Hey babe you made it :D :D

Yes I was there too and playing in Novice :( but even though I had gun problems the whole time and they had me a back player running for the 50 the games were fun and the one game me and the gun got in synic I got 2 out with less than 50 balls ;)

After spending 3 days marshalling games from rockie to pro I think if a few more brit teams made the trip we could realy show them any way more on that later gald to be back.

sparklie brit chick on tour ;)
