Why?

I apologize in advance (and I'm still pissed from my stint on the tiles last night) for bringing up the same old subject but why is it that teams like Shockwave (not a dig guys) can surgically destroy fools in this country time and time again yet when they play in the US they get stomped by rookies and novices??

We all know the yanks are the bees but still, you'd expect the cream of her majesty's to do at least some damage.

Discuss.:D

Ouch!

Several american Am teams are better than brit pro but I dont think we get mowed by novs and rookies all that often.....Didnt Avalanche lose to a french novice team in portugal this year?

Crazy ain it.

It's gotta be said, this country sucks when it comes to backing. I mean, the US got the whole collegiate paintball federation thing going on now yet we have nowt. I suppose it's up to us to start it really but it would rock if some of our high end personalities actually got their fongers outta their asses and tried to promote the 'sport' a little bit. X-ball is kinda a fresh start/clean slate for paintball and if we don't take advantage of this then we'll lose the race real quick. It'll never be as big as it is in the states but we can at least make it better surely.

You know what, I talk more sense when I'm pissed up, ish.

:( Im disappointed to see that, but not surprised-they had 1 training day before the cup, you cant do that and expect to win.

Beaker-Doh, your too informed:)

On tha one hand ya gotta applaud them for having tha balls to go over as Pro, on tha other you'd think it'd make more sense to go as Am A...though to be truthful they'd struggle to make tha Am A semis I think.

How much do your top teams play and practice? How ruthless are tha captains?

I know Nexus is training one weekend a month and obo ain't allowing them to play any events in between or guest for anyone in case they develop bad habits, and I know that he's completely deconstructing every aspect of each player's game...how do ta rest of tha captains do it?

Our captain has become more 'ruthless', last training we were told, anyone who cant cut it and improve with training will be dropped friend or no friend.

Its the way its gotta be though to get somewhere.
