Playing paintball and getting hurt --

A very good argument, but it has one flaw.
How much do you pay to play in a tournament?
If you injure yourself, who pays for it? Who's insurance pays for it I mean?
What is your JOB?
If the last question is answered by "Professional Paintball Player" then you have a valid argument. In which case I'd expect your team to pick up your ages, insurance, and all that.
If you have a real job, then odds are that paintball is your hobby. A passionate hobby, but a hobby. As far as I know, there's NO PLAYING TEAM out there now in which the player can sustain enough money on a week to week basis to pay rent, let alone cover their paintball habit.
As such, if the condiitons are unsafe I see no reason other than pride to continue on playing.
EDIT HERE And even if I were being paid to play 'ball, if an event is as unsafe as I've been lead to believe this one was then I wouldn't play. I value my life, thank you large.
