this insurance...May I ask whom it is underwritten by?

secondly:
http://www.ukpsf.com/sancevents.asp

Why is the University paintball association leauge not on the UKPSF sanctioned events list...Im sure that each university pays for affiliation yet we do not appear?

Are we not on the list because our own universities insurance covers us..ergo making us excempt from needing that policy, or simply because we have been forgotten? Have i missed something?

I then got thinking what happens if my equipment that i supply to ref fails, im liable, what happens if its not the tournament organisers fault that i get shot while stood off a field without a mask on etc etc.

i will be purchasing an insurance policy even though i do have my own personal liability cover as well. I will also be doing an air course int he very near future.

Jon
Thats exactly what it is for, anything myself or Wendy is doing wrong is still covered by us but now everyone else will have some cover of their own.

Maybe you are missed of because its a relatively new website and they have not got round to undating that section.
If you are members of the UKPSF via University affiliation then that may cover you for standard tournies as well as your own, either way you should talk direct to Steve Bull and find out the information pertaining to your special case and not ask about it not on someone elses thread on a public forum

If you look again you will notice the PA and UK Masters is not a sanctioned event as yet, they will be on the list before the next event.
Membership does not give you automatic entry to the list, you must meet other criteria and that must be proved before hand.

Guys I know that people are concerned about the insurance underwritters and this will be cleared up. But I know from speaking to Russ for a hour or so the other night. Bully, Andy and Nial Squires the brains behind the NPC this is going to become set in stone for sites as a must. We as sites will have a legal duty to ourselves, our employees and you as a customer t make sure people have protection in place to protect you. If you note discounts have been in place for a year or so on events for people carrying this insurance. Myself saved £35 on events last year having it, so take of the cost I saved a total £22.50 or 3/4 a box of paint ! I also knew if the worst thing ever happened i was covered and could relax that I had insurance in place. As has been stated for less than a Mars bar a week you can be insured and have peace of mind.

Failing the benifits side of things you get, you soon won't have a choice in the matter. It needs done now rather than later !!

Doubt it already done the university thing

Now doing the bad time of life thing

And I'm seriously older than you and a lot more grumpy

Ask my team

Put in a nicer form Steve is the most approachable man you can find and he is the only, and I emphasize the word only, person who can give you the correct answers to your questions. As knowledgeable as some of us are on certain matters, in this we can only hypothesize and what you need is cold hard facts. ;)

sorry if this is a dumb question, but i'm trying to understand this right. The insurance is to cover me if i accidently shoot someones eye out or they get injured through my actions and sue me, right?

so why is it being made mandatory when it should be my choice? i know its only £12.50 but i cant seem to get my head around it and why is this such a step forward/ how does it change the sport in any way

edit: and please, before anyone starts, yes i will be getting it, because if i dont i cant play!!
