If he signs it.

You have to give him the cash first, i reckon he'll tell you where to go when you ask him to sign a receipt.

ok well its a civil matter, really, maybe it is a big mean dad, but front him, hes hardly going to give you a pasting, i mean a prison sentence over a ticket, hes entitled to a full refund, type up a recipt and get him to wet sign it at the bottom and signed by another impartial witness such as joe from 4 houses down, the police are powerless to settle disputes like this, hence why its a civil matter, the police can become involved if a threat of violence is carried out, dont expect the police to rough him up a bit and take him to court and then off to prison, a caution is prob as good as it gets unless the threat is carried out, dont back down, you do have the power to do things yourself, such as citizens arrest, all you have to do is read the rights, say your name and why your doing it, but get a recipt and signed by witnesses if not pop down to a solictiors flutter your eyelids they might give you a bit of advice free of charge:D

How would the law stand if you posted the money recorded delivery, that way they would have to sign for the delivery? If he then states that he did not receive the refund you can take pass it over to the Royal Mail as you will have insurance from the package.

PS I'm no expert just thought it might be an idea to get a receipt for delivery.

its ok doing that but its a different story as to giving him the money and him accepting it, than posting it and him reciving it but hes not accepting it, see where that goes, going through royal mail is just passing the buck just front him go round hes not gonna beat on a young lad, over a ticket, all he is entitled to is the ticket
