Paintball is now a sport and recognised as such and not some militaristic indulgence.

Ya know, I give up sometimes with some of these self- proclaimed sophisticates of our sport who haven't one ounce of idea as to what's significant.
The false premise is this, they know they can write intelligently and then go on to make the mistake that they believe whatever they write is intelligent.
I'm not having a dig here Robbo because you tend to be extremely well-informed on most things paintball but who recognises Paintball as a sport? I mean officially?

There are people in paintball who can "write intelligently"??? That's almost as incredible a notion as the idea that anyone involved in this game could possibly think of themselves as sophisticated :D :p

Personally I used to be able to write intelligently... well halfway coherantly at least... but I've been shot in the head way too many times in the last decade to claim I could do so now :D

Seriously dude, who the **** cares? Millions of people play and have fun, it's getting on tha idiot box, Vans and No Fear are joining tha party - it's all coming.

You Brits are too hung up on getting all the Ts dotted and Is crossed - loosen up. Have fun. Shoot fools.

Well I will start with 8 Million Americans, how's that grab ya ?
Now just because (and I ain't having a dig at ya) your remit of paintball experience tends toward the domestic scene doesn't mean to say I was solely referring to the situation over here.
Paintball is recognised by a huge number of people as a sport but if you want to define that recognition in terms of officialdom, then so be it, that's your game, not mine.
I'm just happy to know we are rapidly gaining respectabilty and huge numbers enjoy our sport, any more than that, I'll let you guys get on with because I like to involve myself with the more practical aspects of ourt sport and then commentate.

But 'Each to his own' as they say :)

PS I wasn't including you in my less than subtle dig......but be aware, the list ain't finished and you are eligible for the 'reserve' list :)

Larry,
Any paintball magazine that would publish your article has lost my readership (so please tell me all the publications you write for so I can be sure I never have to be subjected to your random drivel). It's people like you who give paintball a bad image. People who make uniformed judgements on paintball based not on fact, but rather on their own ignorance. Have you ever played in the NPPL? How about the Millenium Serires? have you ever played tournament paintball on the novice/amtatuer/professional level?(I'm guessing not since you don't even know the names of the players you're ragging on)?
Divisions in paintball are quite clear, sandbagging is impossible because of the strictly enforced rules (at least here in the states), most players who consistently win recieve compensation for doing so (tournament prize packages), but that is all beside the point. Paintball is not some combination of first-person-shooters and hide and seek, it currently meets every criteria of a "sport" and it is growing every single day, and you know it. The only thing stopping paintball from being a recognized sport is people like you, who are not pointing out, but inventing shortcomings for paintball. I understand that you are "trying to make us think" because that's what you think your responsibility as a "writer" is, but please don't go shooting off at the mouth spewing misinformation that you can't back up.

Negative.moi?

Au contraire mon frere...Is it negative to realise that I ain't ever gonna be President of my country (I'm waaaay too smart for that), and instead concentrate on being a Paintball God and inspiration to millions, or is it a positive use of my time and resources?

If you're gonna fight, then pick tha right battles...
