just to add to what Duff has said, even though it's part of the rules, and part of the game, dosn't mean that a player should start cheating.
There still has to be some pride in playing clean. I tell the kids on my team, if they cheat, and they win, there's nothing we can do about it, but you gotta walk off with your head high, and know that they couldn't beat you in a fair fight, and you're better than those who have to cheat. It depends on the mentality of the player though, some people place winning at such a high cost that they will cheat, and cheat a lot!
I guess in a player's mind they have to decide if their morals are more important than winning. THe way the rules are structured in x-ball makes it easier to justify cheating though... which is sort of the basis for my earlier post.
