probably seen this thread, and realised that it is now the IN thing to do. whilst still calling dibs when he sees something that may or maynot take his fancy or that his mate might want, but he will get back to you in XXX amount of days when he gets back from botswana, or some other silly excuse.

"Because the current rules are unclear how?"

Well for a start there is three stickies. The selling and the hosting stickies are needed, but I propose you change the new "Save Yourselves A Lot of Hassles" sticky be converted into clear guidance if you wish to buy from the forum.

At present there is no guide on how to buy with proper etiqute.

And if there was, with a banning warning on people who break these guidelines, they'd be less of a "dibs, ask questions, sort out the money later , can't, nevermind attitude.

Just a suggestion.

For all the hassles you have, I get about 3 posts reported each week. There is just too much in classifieds to read every post in every thread, but if htings get reported a mod WILL look at it.

So report posts people, i don't care who does it, just say why and we'll take a look.

Problem with that is that we'd only have hearsay to work with. If a seller says something, and the buyer tells us different, who do we believe?
See the trouble that would give us?

We try to help you guys out as much as we can, we honestly do. But in the end, you guys are the ones that have to make the sales, and decide how it's done. What we do is provide the virtual notice board where you can stick up your ads... Given the nature of our forums, which is as informative as we can be, I don't think the emphasis should be on the classifieds section as much as some guys would want it to be. We are not Ebay after all...

That said, if we can help, do let us know.

Its even worse when you get people saying yes i will meet your asking price in a pm and then back out of buying it from you saying they got the item somewhere else now thats time wasting

And what pisses you off even more is when said person comes onto this thread and says that there should be changes in regards timewasters  you know who you are !!!!

i understand i may be one of the many time wasters of this site... but i'd like to include my input. I have put my IR3 up for sale for the last month, and have had numerous time wasters, and I agree that some of this should be stopped! tis Very annoying. Feedback forum should be declared!!!

i think this could be a good idea, could lead to a listing of good / bad sellers and buyers

Maybe a radical re-think is needed, could these waste of time posts be just post count hype.

Drop the post count on posts in the classifieds.

Put a time limit on all classified posts - 7 days, then closed or deleted.

Often the problem stems from the seller grudgingly accepting the dithering buyers stalling techniques.

Sales must have pics and an adequate description, including prices and postage charges.

Limit items in the thread to one priced item per sale.

Feedback, not worth it, causes to much hassle.
