Your welcome TomMcTaf :)

Yes the mini is a very fun to shoot and use, but the foregrip isn't the usual cylindrical shape, so you really would have to use to to get the feel of it.

I still have my stock Ion XE and invert mini if you wanted to try them out :) (both for sale aswell:p) Where abouts do you train/play?

Hi all,

I was considering getting an Ion XE package like this:

http://www.lpspaintball.biz/acatalog/SP_06_07_ION_PACK.html

Reading the back posts on this forum, alot of people are opting for a Proto PMR09 instead, though this seems to be personal preference. Both are roughly the same price,

What's wrong with the Ion XE that people dont like so much ? The deal above looks pretty good?

(BTW this will be a belated christmas present to myself in the new year, so i can go play :)

Thanks

Tom
i would go with a proto SLG/PMR, or a second hand PM or DM.

i have 6 friends who have minis, and four of them have had no end of problums.

just my 2p worth :D

Yes but wasnt that just when they wer first release? i mind seeing a video on youtube that the guns was only having problems when the first lot was released and since then invert was fixing them? im not sure but i belive that what it said :p

But its all down to how you feel with the gun and etc. but as above said since you live in london pop in to lips ;)

some people dont like smart parts
Like myselve ;) lol

And yes lee is right, the mini problems have been sorted agter their first batch of problems, no manufacturer would keep a marker on sale and not sort the problems!

Get a mini mate, if its a new marker your looking for they are fast and light and look fantastic, if you are willing to go second hand an ego wouldn't go amiss ;)

Plus smart parts have just raised their prices? When other companies don't?...hmmm I wonder why we don't like them. their markers are now on a bracket that they are no way worth what they make you pay, due to the increased prices, the eos for example has gone up rediculously, not sure exactly how much tho.

hi tom, i currently use an Ion XE however i bought it when it was £140, at that price it was a very good marker, however since they now cost about £240 i would go for a PMR like the guys are saying.
However BZ paintball are currently selling origional Ions for £110, and you can probably get a second hand one from the classifides for even cheaper.

dunno about the first batch, mite be all sorted now but now 5 out of 6 of my friends who have them have had problums, all within the first couple of cases shot through them. however when they do work, they work well. personal opinion, 2nd hand ego or dm would be the best option.
