It's nothing like that. Unless you take some real badass hardcore stuff, dope won't make you bounce around the field like crazy. The enhancements, or other benefits are very small. They might give you a slight edge (which sometimes can mean the difference between a win and a loss).

For example: A player uses something containing ephedra (not sure on the spelling). It won't make him run any faster, jump higher, or shoot straighter.
What this stuff does is suppress the signs of fatigue. In other words, you'd be able to stay sharp for longer, which can be a benefit at those long, drawn out tournament days. When that final game of the day rolls around, this guy will be just a little sharper than the others, because they will be showing the usual signs of fatigue, such as decreased concentration, muscles that operate a little slower, and slower reflexes. The guy that took ephedra has none of these symptons. So he won't be playing better than normally can, but he'll be as fresh as his first game of the day.

Hmm, sounds almost like I speak from first hand experience, doesn't it? :rolleyes:
