2) Isn't one of the stipulations of competing in the Olympics that you cannot be a pro in your chosen sport? So that would (I'm guessing) disqualify the "Pro" class of players in paintball, reality being otherwise. I could be wrong, so don't hold me to that.
1) Hey, that's what I do.
2) Let's talk about the US Basketball "dream team"... bett yet let's not. Hockey in the olympics is littered with NHL players, and didn't the "Fab 5" of the women's US olympic soccer team play pro too? The pro status of any given player is, seemingly, irrelevant.
And the wording of the rule is : "1.1.3 : Only sports that adopt and implement the World Anti-Doping Code can be included and remain in the programme of the Olympic Games. " Which I read to mean that the official governing body of the sport in question must use and utilise the WADC. All olympic sports main governing bodies must adopt an anti-doping rule.
Translation, the Super 7 / PSP / Millenium would have to adopt it into practice. Keep in mind that in the states (this is for the UK readers) that NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and all the other sporting bodies do random drug testing as SOP.
So to get paintball into the olympics, paintball will have to begin drug testing. Like it or not, it's how things work. Hey, you want paintball in the olympics, this is an inevitable step to do that.
