If the Event organisers are on top of the Heat issue then I think this could be well worth playing!! Climatised setting up areas and "moisture tunnels" sounds like it could be all the more bareable to me, as long as I don't have to brave the heat all day and I can cool down in between games I can't see there being too much of a problem, going to have to look into this a little more seriously because its sounding very interesting:cool:

We understand the concerns of players about the temperature but I think the conditions for the teams will be very good if not excellent.
The Event will be held in the Madrid Stadium "La Peineta", and the player’s area will be indoor’s with private boxes.

To get an idea here is a description of the Stadium.

The Stadium:
This is a very strong urban development where the stadium is a symbol and an architectural reference. Its form constitutes a powerful diagonal clearly identifiable in the landscape and which was immediately named by the inhabitants of Madrid as "La Peineta". The numerous architectural prizes and mentions that the building has received are very deserved and an explicit appreciation of its uniqueness and wide range of uses.
Under the terraces there is a large building which comprises the "Service Areas", a space of 37,000 cubic metre surface, well lit because of the sports area. The open air track has nine lanes and it has been built using the very best materials. There is a very high quality and new generation track, which has been much praised by the professionals.

Infrastructure:
The Stadium have a faultless infrastructure for the celebration and international broadcast of any sportive, cultural or commercial event:

2,000 vehicles capacity exterior car parking.
High definition broadcasting thanks to the stadium illumination.
6 transformation centres with a 5,220 Kva. power.
Radiant central heating by the floor in the dressing rooms and sauna.
Optic fibre telephone system expected to receive a specific demand.
PA system installation interior and exterior.
Air conditioning.
Protection against fire led by a microprocessor central, etc.

This will be very appreciated! :D

Now seriously, La Peineta is a very fine place... too bad it's going to be demolished soon (to improve it in lieu of the 2012 Olimpic Games Madrid is trying to organize).

Any news about the team list?

Hi Jorge Gutierrez,

I think that the Stadiun "La Peineta" wont be demolished as you mention but it will be improved to host the Olympic Games 2012.

i think you might find that at least 50% of those teams are not going!!

but as the Iberian Cup organisers have kindly offered us free entry, we may change our minds! ;) i am right in assuming that use of teams to attract other teams warrants free entry arent I ??
;) :D
