If you had your finger anywhere near the pulse of US NPPL /PSP teams who have played over the years then you should know the dissatisfaction that is apparent on the circuit has more to do with the promoters than the NPPL.
The NPPL name might not matter to you and I wonder exactly how many you have played in over the years and what experience you have had around a lot of the teams who have played in it but I can tell you something, the PSP would not be wanting to control something that is a spent force, as you put it.

Read: experienced, well-funded, well-connected lawyers in America have all but dictatorial powers. Might makes right.

The top pro teams simply will play wherever they can potentially get the true bragging rights that they are champions of the world. Or wherever their sponsors will get the best exposure.

(Risk for over-simplification.)

I kinda understand what's been posted so far, which is good, but in simple terms does anyone know how this is going to affect the majority of us euro players?

Are we still going to have a Millenium 7-Man Series ala Campaign Cup/Joy Masters etc?

Can anyone see what affect these 'high' level discussions are going to have on the majority of players across US/Euro?

Call me narrow minded by all means, but as I'm probably never going to play X-Ball (at least not the at the top-pro level that's being touted) and have no vested interest in whether it lives or dies, my concerns are not what happens to the top Pro Teams but what affect this will have on the rest of us...

The Golden Rule.

So, Mr Robbo, let me be sure I understand this:

1. PSP bought NPPL and now have total control of the brandname?

2. There will be an NPPL series just like last year but with X-Ball game co-events and with 10 pro teams competing in the X-Ball games exclusively?

That leaves a few questions:

1. What will Millennium have to do with the "new NPPL" if anything(as Urban so rightly asks, how are we affected)? WPS?

2. What will come of Chuck Hendsh's ideas of a 7-player series, the man himself and his team?

3. What are the venues and schedules?

4. What of the hooplah about better quality, stadium events and the World Cup at the Orange Bowl?

5. What about all that talk about Europe being included in X-Ball?

Dynamic and exciting times, no doubt!

Steve, in answer to Question 1.

Well, that is their intention, whether it has been achieved yet or not is unknown for sure at this stage !!
I have heard conflicting stories :)

Q2 Correct with the proviso that those PSP (10 man) tournaments will be giving the Ams a choice to go X-ball but the Rookies and novices will be playing traditional ball.

Too tired to answer all other Q's and some of the questions would require me to speculate, as there are no hard and fast answers yet.

Just a little bit of reality for giggles . . .

Same people, uglier politics, more greed, and 99% of paintball doesn't care because they are not involved.

Okay, back to your regular broadcast.
I take issue with the fact you think 99% don't care, bull****, they do care, just like all soccer players, no matter what level, care about Manchester United or AC Milan.
99% of soccer players ain't included in their leagues !!
Wolf, now that just smacks of another 'Tygerism' and way beneath what I would expect from you.
And if you want further proof, I doubt whether a handful so far posting on this subject are going to be involved in X-Ball, just take a look at the interest it has generated from the others!!!

Um, Manchester and AC who? Remember, I'm a yank where soccer is a sad afterthought. The analogy is not applicable to American sports, either. There are a whole lot of us that played them in school that do NOT follow the pros and do not care what happens there. TV Ratings for them are dropping like flies and few franchises fill their stands regularly (I admit they have priced themselves out of the market and fans are tired of prissy attitudes and greed). Hmmmm, interesting.

Anyway, my post was not just about X-ball. It was about the alphabet circus of NPPL, PSP, and now X-ball and the continuing soap opera that is a national (and international, I guess), high-stakes tournament circuit. I hope those arena tourneys are not requiring sell outs (to people not playing it) to pay the way, because it won't happen.

It may be "Tygerism" to you, but it is still the truth.
