I have to admit that overall the americans were very poorly behaved this event.

Fighting behind the smart parts tent, players cheating, shooting each other in the face, and now all this x-ball stuff?
What!? No outraged Brits willing to comment on Twizzle from Ecstasy?
Yet Colin is happy to run down EVERY American at Toulouse. Can you list them all for us so we know who you're talking about?

Look, I enjoy the scrapping as much as the next guy--heck, probably more cus I routinely encourage it but the whole lot of you ought to keep a couple of things in mind--second and third hand hearsay is nothing more than idle gossip--until it's printed in PGI and then it's the truth. (It's a joke, lighten up) And while everyone loves to feel holier-than-thou over relatively insignificant things the majority of you happily gloss over the bigger issues in PB you could have some influence over if you were willing to step up--even a tiny bit.

So, by all means, take your shots and feel superior. It's all good--just not as good as it could be.

Well as the first post in this thread only went up a couple of hours ago, give us a chance! I will say that when I read the original post I immediately though "that doesn't sound like Twizz to me". I've known him for years and though I know he can get a bit heated when it comes to his own team and points (e.g. if he disagrees with a reffing decision that goes against them), I just didn't recognise the behavior as described.
Though anyone who can mistake Twizz's accent for american......:D

You Brits...

All year long and all we hear is 'How many Americans are coming over to X event? Millennium's not as good without tha Yanks..."

Now we're death, disease, plague and famine rolled into one...guess that's nothing to do with us getting 1st, 2nd and 3rd, winning tha Ams and whupping ass at XBall?

Oh no, I forgot, it's all Lasoya's fault - and all of you who saw all this stuff told the judges and ultimates at tha time, and have made official complaints to tha Millennium board, and approached tha EPA to see what they plan on doing...

Oi lambrini a good point well made. I will say (I cannot speak for Goose and Mimi) but I have had one e-mail complaint about Lasoya and the guy that sent it I trust itto be the truth. But as for all the other people that saw the incident etc, the cat seems to have there tounges!

First off, I'll never post anything on here that isn't first hand info, especially if it's something d!cked up like the comment about the terrorist bombing. That was first-hand info, and was heard by me in the X-Ball pits during the Russia vs. France game. And what p!ssed me off even more about that statement is that my girlfriend lives about a half-mile from where that happened, and was scared to go home. Not to mention that one of the American Embassy housing areas is about a 5 minute drive away.

Secondly, being an American, I really have no desire to trash any of my countrymen. But there is a line, and it got crossed several times during this event. Friends are friends, no matter where they're from, and that's where my loyalties lie. Unsportsmanlike conduct from anyone, no matter who you are, is totally uncalled for. And as for me, the US was not very well represented in Toulouse, as far as conduct goes. That is not a blanket statement to be applied to all US teams, but when people pull sh!t like Lasoya-in-Chains did, people tend to remember that stuff, and it puts Americans in a bad light. And if you've travelled as much as I have, you'd understand that we're not very well liked as it is.

One man's actions from what, 80 Americans there, is enough to justify Merkins comment that "I have to admit that overall the americans were very poorly behaved this event."

Smacks of Yank-bashing to me.

Exactly my point.

People tend to remember the bad things much clearer than the good things. His statement was rather broad, but I don't think that his intention was to bash them all.

Or maybe because I live in Europe, I've just gotten used it.
