Go to the local press now with your concerns over both the site and the council with a press release of your own. Even if nothing gets published now, if anything does happen, you will have a record of this when they try to scaremonger. You may find that with the support of the residents, right of way users, etc. you could have quite an effective voice though.

'Local Site Owner Objects To New Paintball Field on Safety Grounds'

How about that for a start, if an incident occured:

Humour aside this would be a great marketing for paintball Shad, as it puts safety first, which should be a paramount concern for most. The press would prob go for it, as it is a bit of a good headline as well!

Ok the point is a site has just been granted planning permission near me and the council do not think it needs safety netting. This site is straight on to a road that people walk along and drive to a public lake. The reason they give is because paintball guns don't fire over a cerrtain distance. So I want to get a poll from paintballers showing that we all know this is total bull. I am worried an accident happens and am totally pissed off the council are numb nuts that don't have a clue ! If an accident happens because a site that knows jack **** has opened it will have a knock on effect to all paintballers !
You need first to go to the site and walk the playing area as well as the site boundary. Also you need to check for any warning notices. I know there are several sites which are close to major roads. Congleton even had one running through the middle of site. If the game area comes to the edge of the site where the road is then you could probably threaten to take the council to court for breach of public safety

Just don't a member the public being hurt, because the council is clueless. Anyone who knows anything about paintball will laugh at this place ! But it is no good laughing then an accident happen !

The opening page to the guys web site has a M16 machine gun as it advert !! If you are going with a replica gun aproach to your site far enough. But to set your site up badly then advertise a paintball site with real guns !! Now it shows you this guy is setting up for money not got any cares the damage he does to paintball !

"Paintballing is very safe in comparison to the majority of other action sports. 'LMS' takes every necessary measure to ensure each individual's personal safety. We follow government guidelines in relation to health and safety for all visitors to our paintballing site. "

quoted from their site
it must be the saftey of the individuals playing and not those on the outside they are on about

Also it never contacted the UKPSF to get the one thing a paintball site should live by "the code of practise".
