Firstly, although this post does involve an incident in Cobham, I am not in any way bitching or moaning, but just kinda asking a question and maybe giving some criticism.
As already said in another thread, a lot of people were allowed to play (including myself) without having their markers chronied. I personally feel that all guns should be chronied before a game and not just 3 randomly selected guns. Why? I was playing back right centre on the Draxxus field, and whilst looking right, a player from the opposition ran down the left tape, only slightly infield and put a neat little shot just above my pack (I'm sure he was going for my pack!). Now, I can hardly call it a mug because he couldn't have been any closer than 15 feet, but the welt I now have will stay with me for some time to come! It split the skin and immediatly started to bleed, and this morning (the morning after) I now have a bright red mark, about 2 inches across which is starting to blacken. Now I am not saying the person who did this to me had a hot gun, but is it possible to get a welt & bruise like this from any paintball, or was I hit by a marble?!

See the picture below to give your verdict!

But back to my question, why is there no ruling that ALL guns must be chronied before EVERY game?

I agree, all markers should be chronoed before a game! ALso all chrono's should be calibrated as well!

The series rules do state that all markers should be chronied before every game, plus the refs have the option to check any marker at any time during or directly after the game.

It was just a hard ball mate, thats all you get them from time to time. Its just your luck that you got hit with one thats all. It was a very hot day and people were waiting a long time between games and no paint would stand being exposed to that sort of heat for a long period of time. I have seen paintballs smash through hoppers and when the gun has been put over the chrono it has been shooting at 280 fps. 5h1t happens mate!!

they we obviously not calibated, or acriate, the hand held ones, a team mate's gun fired a ball that roled out of the barrel and ploped on the ground and the chrono red 400 fps???

the chrono on the RPS field was totally busted.
It had my matrix chronoing over 400 fps!, then back down to 240

BUt, when i told the judges to get the chrono off the range, they just ignored us and kept on chronographing anyhow.

And, on field one, before we played AFGM, they only chronographed 4 guns from our team.
