Location was good, really easy to find and the bus was going there every half an hour. Thumbs up.

Trade show was ok, but who actually cares for that stuffif you can play on the lovely xl turf. Gotta love it.

Reffing on the Mille field was really good. No complaints from the other fields from me, except the DYE field.

Sucky:

- carrying all the paint from one end to another

- prices for food. These guys must've been kidding.

- Millennium tent quite far away from the players area. But that was ok. If teams can run from one sideof the field and back they can take the walk to the Mille tent ;)

- Ton Tons shooting their guns to the loader limit and no one doing anything. :(

- reffing on the DYE field (omg...)

Liked the event. Really really good organisation. Tired now, gnite.

most of the bad points have been mentioned already but one thing i did'nt understand, obviously those companies that sponsor the event want to have their name at least displayed but why wrap banners round two or three sides of a field at eye level so no-one can watch unless you're in the stands.

I know the Dye and Millennium fields had banners across the mesh behind the base's, I just assumed it was to stops spray going all over the food huts. did any of the fields have banners down the sides as well?

This was my first Big tournament for years, something I remember from the old European Masters when it was at Holmbush (apart from the better weather cause they held it over the August bank holiday), was they had a program you could buy listing the teams, the running order, The sponsors and they always had a section at the back with a blank scoreboard , schedule so you could fill it in as the tourney progressed.

Any chance we could have a comment from Naill or Andy about Numbers of spectators (Maybe the NEC don't wanna tell them how much they made on the car-park), Or just a comment on how they felt the weekend went.

1. stands look more full
2. banners show up in the background of more pictures.

:)

The banners behind the base on the Millennium field at one end weren't shielding anything, just a big blank space then eventually the staging marquees. Quite irritating for me, as it would have been an awful long walk round from where the teams entered the field to get to the stand to watch. Only left a small area about 8-10 feet long in one corner at the back of the field accessable from the players/pit crew only area.

BTW if you're referring to the old original Mayhem Masters at Holmbush, that was the late May bank holiday not the August one, something to do with the play on words of MAYhem. :D

Yeah, but the more they shoot you, the less love I get :p
Don't hate the player, hate the game. :)

When you do paintball photos, getting some love is part of the deal to getting those dramatic shots.
