yes food was well steep.brought our own after thursday.
and i thought that where you entered the site there was a road that led up to the players area.why didnt they have a gate there with players pass through to drag you kit bags up the road to the tent.not right ??????????
the surface was the best as in paris games ran on time and thought the marshalls did a good one this time.
yep the best in the uk excellent wkend had

i think the location was bad.

the nec yes is well known but people only go to it to see things they want to see that are there. so having it there only gets paintballers to come it doesnt get new people to see the game.

for me paris was a perfect location as people coming to eurodisney for another reason (to see mickey an go on amusement park) would wander in to see what was going on. I spoke to many people out there that had never seen paintball before but were watching it instead of going round the amusement park like they intended for there holiday.

I think the trade stands showed this also as in paris they always seemed to be many people in them at campaign the stands seemed to be empty most the time.

Campaign promotions should maybe look into the possibilty of talking to Drayton Manor or Alton Towers for next years event to try to attract spectators that are passing by rather than coming specifically to see paintball.

Oh yeah still think the turf is awesome and the new ramping mode is killer :D

I was only a spectator on the Sat but Please, change the weather. ;)

I thought the only down side was you were told NEC and so walk out of the station to the NEC and it takes ages to find. If you had a note on the web site saying train to NEC but left out of the Airport side and you would have been there straight away.

Took me ages to find,

The stands were great, be it trade or viewing. It might have been nice if the spectors had a covered seating area, I would have stayed for longer.

Great paintball, good crowd cheering and jeeriing, Overall I think it was a great idea but agree with the other thought of making it at an amusement park or high traffic area.

Well done guys and gals of campaign.

Oh the other thing that Is a problem, My girlfriend asked for a t-shirt as she has all the Campaign t-shirts from the last 4 years and she was upset they weren't on sale this time.

I loved it, my wallet didn't.

My only realy gripe was the inconsistency in the marshalling. I almost got pulled off the JT field for wearing a Dye Balance top, despite having been layer checked on both the Tomahawk and Millenium fields before hand with no problems.

The playing surface was sooooo good. I could run around and superman on that stuff all weekend, oh I did :D
The marshalling was very good from what I saw, ok there were some dodgy decisions made, but those guys really dont miss much.
The walk through the trade stands didnt bother me, its just like any shop you see in town, you have to walk past all the stuff and sales etc before you get to the counter, by then you may well have seen something else you fancy. So really thats just a load of balls from some lazy ballers. From what ive been told, if you didnt like that walk, dont go abroad to any events as it'll be 5 times worse.

Several spectators commented on the announcements of games or lack of. Even a schedule here there an everywhere for them to see where their favourite team would be next, would have been good enough.
Only other criticism i'd say would be the sign posting.

One mates parents came along and absolutely loved it. If only mine had been there to see what I spend all my money on!!
To a neutral, this would have been a great spectacle to watch, especially with the packed stands on sunday.

Keep up the good work Millenium crew!

cc

the atmosphere i felt was about the same , everyone just trying to get on and do a good job without being hassled(the teams the organisers and the traders) ...the refing was better than in past years and the fields were good to watch and excelent to play..
my wife and kids went and she dosnt like paintball..her only coment was that if this is going to be a spectator sport then the very bad language has got to stop...one xsv player came to the netting and appolagised for his team mates when he saw how many women and children were viewing..
on the whole a good event apart from saturdays rain..

absolutely loved playing CC, only a couple of gripes really did they have to situate the paint containers the furtheast away possible from the players area fair old trek when your carrying 4 boxes of paint, also we found the marshalling on the tomahawk field a bit jubious.

Though i loved all of it brilliant being able to sit and watch games on sunday and playing on the surface was superb even a fat git like me managed to get a superman off andf not make a big hole in the ground :D
