To follow on from Robbos post about the poor standard of UK players, I ask this:

Which tournament series provides the highest level of competition?

Except for pro tour of course because you can't just decide you want to play that.
Basically which series would provide you with a level of paintball not a million miles away from millenium?

None.....seriously...not even one....all tournament series (bar the pro league) are over a million miles away from Millennium ball in terms of quality of teams.....sad but true :(

Must Admit Robbo's not far off the Mark There, But when i watched the Div 1 in the PA League that was quite a good standard, it was just a shame that they have shouting from the sidelines!!!!!

Point taken. We play mainly millenium and have not really bothered with uk tournys recently, well not a series at least, played a couple of one offs.
As a supplement to millenium, to keep on the ball, which events would you reccomend?, if any:)

Only problem with PA is you have to start in Div 3 which would be a huge backwards step for us.

Have you checked that for certain? I'm sure there were teams that filled spots in higher divisions. It might be worth contacting them to check. (Unless you already have done, in which case feel free to ignore this :) )

currently the PA seed the teams based upon there ability and results in various other leagues, so should your team have a good track record in other leagues then you should be placed in a higher division.

The problem being that the PA do thing there way (im not saying they are better or worse) so run things different than other leagues (side line shouting, quick turnarounds and all fields starting at the same time).

the league is worth doing but ensure you can commit to it i also believe they may be running xball this season.

I'm not dissing the PA in any way, any more than I am dissing any of the other UK leagues I have commented on but I saw a recent Sky presentation of the Div 1 PA and the average quailty of teams involved was not even close to the Amateur div of the Millennium....if we are to really move forward in our sport in this country then we have to truly recognise where we are at...if we bullsh!t ourselves into believing this league or that league represents qualities that are just not there, then we ain't gonna get nowhere.

Painfull as it may be, we have to hold our hands up and admit where we are at, unpalatable yes but wholly necessary if we are to get out of this rut.

Have to agree with Robbo here, I have played all Millenniums in Div 1 this year, as well as playing Div 1 in the PA and Div all year in the Series.. The difference between our domestic leagues and the Millenniums is huge!! Apart from the obvious Uk pro teams within the UK, I would say we have no more than 2-3 teams that could constantly perform at a top am level in Europe. Its sad but thats a fact!!
