Greatest Northern Player of All Time !!!

Hmm not sure how Nicky T will take being called a northerner.Hmmmm!

For me its gotta be Chrissy Edwards. But there are a huge number of am level guys just waiting to break through.

The south may have all the pro teams but the north has a huge swathe of top am talent thats just waiting to be nurtured and supported.

As for Ledz - he's been there, done that, and did it again - just for the hell of it. Nice all round chap - and owns planet (who remembers when it was Paintball Planet then?).

Let's not forget Tony Kelly here as well! Again, nice chap who's achieved a lot.

What about Rob Yates?

He's played at a very high standard, for some very good teams, he's been around for ages, he's well known and he still plays well when he rarely gets on the field despite the fact he can't shoot left handed! Also taking into account the 'Wrong Way Rob' story surely he will be remembered as one of the most famous northern paintballers ever?!

Perhaps not the best ever but surely he's up there what with some of the other suggestions.

P.S. This is not Rob Yates writing this, it's just pure coincidence/misfortune we play for the same team with the same surname

so are you saying that because more people have heard of dunny and he plays pro that qualifys him for being a better palyer??

by your comment above it seems to me that your saying a lower leauge player (siddy) is better than a higher league player (beckham) in your opinion.... but you shot down psycho's comment on wayne kelly as he doesnt play pro

contradiction maybe......

my opinion i think kellys are one of the best teams out there (north or south) beating pro and am teams from around the world, but i obviously cant voice that because i dont play pro and neither do they (yet)

If you believe I have in any way contradicted myself then you certainly haven't understood what I have written so I suggest you do one of two things; either hush up lest you make another stupid post or you can really, really concentrate next time you read what I have written, if you find it difficult, then ask mummy to help you.

Instead of trying to shore up an untenable argument, you really need to spend more time thinking about what you write.

And if the Kelly's are as good as you are suggesting then they would be playing pro either thru natural evolution or by qualifying from the Am division last year, they have done neither.....end of !!!

The title means its in past tense so we can probably only say that the people that are no longer playing paintball anymore can be relevant to this thread

and if i were to bring the all of the Northern greatest players of all time out of retirement etc my vote wud be scottish Mac D
