I have been away fron this thread for a while, but would like to reply to Nick's post where he thinks I am scanner-bashing. lol.

Nick - you're ridiculous.

I am a massive scanner-fan, and have many friends in the industry up there, and have been a regular visitor to Sweden since 1992. This is in fact the reason that I know they never really grasped the accuracy thing - through the experience of going there and knowing my scanner mates, although from my experience I would say the swedes have a better sense of humor, something you are managing to prove to me...
Fact is I know you too Nick, and always thought you were 'quite a nice chap'.

The Outed thing is something I find funny though, what are you, threatening me or something? lol!

Dude - if you had time to count the teams breaks during your X-Ball games - then you definitely did SOMETHING wrong.... My advice would be to focus elsewhere in Norway during games

But hey - nice bit of promoting there

Nick
It doesn't really take up too much of my time. At the end of a match I just ask how many and sometimes someone might say "yeh I had a break"

Our team pays for our guns, and Planet was the sponser of choice. We already had 6 Eblades on the team prior to us gaining our current deal.

If you are going to spend your own money on a marker you you might as well buy a good one!

Comedy milkshake dispensers just don't cut it.

I don't agree that all the teams would jump onto X-ball if a TVdeal came along. I don't think anyone who has been to one of the S7 events this year would say that. I also do not think that all the teams WANT X-ball, and to play the same field over and over.

I think the players that have been loyal to X-ball feel genuinely aggreived and its not just a case of:
'oh well the TV deal didn't happen'.
There is much more to it than that.

X-ball has a lot of what the teams want, 7 man has a lot of this too. I think that a format change next season in the S7 will happen, and that we will see some of the things that the teams like about the intensity of X-ball come into play. Thats just my opinion, but at least I am making it clear that it is my opinion only, and not stating it as some kind of fact...
eg.
'X-Ball is what everyone WANTS to play, if the added expenses are justified - and it look like is has a future in terms of media.'

I think thats bollox!

As a matter of interest. Lets say that there is no EXL next year. Lets say that there is still a PSP series and it is ALL X-ball (if there is a series at all - but lets presume there will be), and then there is the S7 and the Millennium Series.

Where will you play Nick? Will you travel to the PSP events?
I mean you are X-ball 'to the core'. You were even suggesting guns had a limited rate of fire so that more teams could afford to play it. This is fine, but what will you (and the Ducks) do if your X-ball world comes crashing down?

And I am not scanner-bashing (b4 you get all sensitive), I am just surprised that you keep all your faith when those around you are losing thiers. Are all the others mistaken or confused? Do you know something they don't know?

I admire you for your loyalty. I just hope those you are loyal to don't let you down, or leave you sitting on the sidelines watching the famous teams play ball....

What everyone wants is Xball the game run by Pure Promotions. Xball is THE format no doubt but is very costly without the TV deal, Pure Promtions are THE organisers but 7 man is not as TV friendly. A marrage of the two would be perfect but would also be as likely as Junior Brown passing a mirror without having a quick check of the hair. :D
