EXL Coverage...will there be any?

I'll keep my promise to try and answer the questions brought forward in spite of the presence of certain individuals with cranial-rectal disorders.

Still photography of EXL events will be allowed as will non-broadcast-quality video recording, but all under the usual control of the Millennium organization. Such video recording may be used for DVDs but not for broadcasting.

As always media personnel should get permission and passes (if necessary) at the registration tables at the events. And, as always, media personnel around or on fields are required to do their work in cooperation with the ultimate judges and with other Millennium personnel. We certainly want to avoid any incidents like one on a Division X Ball field at the World Cup.

We get a mail from a rep from the Millennium telling us still photogrpahy is banned.

You try to justify it.

I call Niall, and he tells me along with Mike Ratco, still photography is fine.

I quoted you because that is what you usually say when you get backed into a corner. Only difference is, I ain't backed into a corner.

Any reasonable person can understand that the circumstances on the other side of the line when you make a phone call may not always be optimal, which was the case for me. As I stated earlier, I was just walking out of an elevator into the door of my office with lunch and bag in hand. You may have said something about an e-mail, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about that, so I was trying to sort out what the gist of the conversation was in the midst of a slightly stressful situation. As soon as I found a place to put my stuff down and concentrate on the conversation I was taken aback a little by the fact that you would hardly let me get a word in edgewise besides the fact that the connection was somewhat poor. I do recall asking something about whether the problem was video or still photography and I remember you said it was about still photography also. I wanted to collect myself so that I could understand fully the issue and I also wanted to ask you, while we were connected, about another matter. Then came the "No, just get me an answer!" or something like that, after which I asked again, "Could I ask you something?" and then you abruptly hung up.

It is true that I didn't know, hadn't been told, the details that we all have managed to uncover today. Blame me for that if you will. I don't apologize for not knowing things that have not been revealed to me. For the love of Pete, this a side job that I get paid a per-event fee for, and I certainly feel I'm putting much more than a fair share of time and effort into it.

But after the phone slamming I come home and find you've continued with your usual flaming à la "drivel...they gotta be fcukin mad" which led on to calling me a liar, a half-wit and a fool.

I may have overreacted but I'm just fed up with your pompous, conceited, insulting and rude attitude (as are many other people) and, especially when it's done publicly, I won't be a door mat to it.

So now I'm waiting for your classic "yawn!"

Nobody's asking you to be a doormat, just that you do the job you're supposed to do and not give it the Billy big 'un every time you come on here when you plainly have no idea what the hell you are talking about, now, so as not to disappoint you, I will oblige you with my obligatory 'yawn'

Since I have satisfied myself, I will now expect from you what you normally do when you find yourself backed into a corner of your own making like you did at the Swedish event, go call Canada Steve....

I think I made it very clear exactly what I knew and didn't know about the matter in question in the post where I quoted the Millennium website (which has since been updated), an EXL board member and myself.

You don't know **** about what went down in Sweden and anything of substance about any calls to Canada. As usual you are grasping at straws in an obvious attempt to back-pedal and divert from your obnoxious ways of dealing with people.

BTW, I'm looking forward to our wonderful business relationship this year.

I have been with Mike Ratko for the last two days.

Basically at the moment we can do what we want. Until we sign with Dick Clark But... These are the rules.

There are no restrictions on Still pictures.

No broadcast quality film can be made, unless its for news broadcast .

We can make DVDs this year unless Dick Clark says otherwise..
