duffistuta, erm, you just proved my point. That isn't racism is it? He's not saying that all white men can't jump?

He's just stating the obvious fact that we must acknowledge the fact that we ain't all the same. Not better, not worse, just all different.
If thats all that he's stating whats the point in staing it!?

We're all different seems a little flat as political points go, unless
somthing else is implied.

Look at it this way, if I put two people next to each other, one is a black man and one is a white. How do you describe each to me?
I'd say look at the man in on the left standing next to that bloke
on the right.

I'm just trying to work out what's the most repellant, ivory towered idealism or ignorant bigotry....not much to choose between them as far as I am concerned as they are both equally convinced of their own veractity and both equally self-deluded :)

I would submit that ivory towered idealism is more grimly pathetic, while ignorant bigotry is more repellant. I have a soft spot for idealism, though.

I think English people dont have enough choices politically:

I know plenty of Scottish and Welsh people, and what do you call them? (apart from Scottish B******s! :) only joking!)
they call themselves Scottish or Welsh, (which we always call them too), they are proud of their culture. something which in England you get flamed for.

I for one am proud to call myself English, (some of you may laugh) but how come I dont have a National Party who i can vote for? the scots are ruled by the Scottish National Party, but they aint racist - apart from hating us English!

How come every time i fill a form in, the nationality tick-box says British? F**K that im an English man, or at least thats how i feel and would prefer to be known as. Im not surprised that there are many disillusion poeple- no one trust labour, no-one wants to go into Europe, many are still sceptical about the Tories, and the Lib Dems shall remain a joke. No wonder some people vote BNP, not that i would.

im not surprised theres so much confusion. anyway, i can live with most of it so long as we dont give more of our money to Europe. good luck UKIP.

Sorry, but I get the feeling that the only reason people are proud to be English is purely down to sport.
Yep, really proud at the moment. Can't wait to go down me local tonight and smash up a few more of my fellow countrymen.

Ivory towered idealism? Nah, just amazed at the hypocrisy - being a racist and holding your hands up is one thing, but trying to claim that the BNP is not a racist party...

That said, I have been thinking about it and maybe Ben and his BNP buddies are onto something - if we extend the BNP's line of thought across the globe, then the First Nations people can kick all the whites and blacks out of America and Canada, the Aborigines can have Australia to themselves and all the whites have to leave Africa...OK, so Europe may get a little crowded, but I can rest safe in the knowledge that I will have plenty more in common with a white Afrikaan farmer from Zimbabwe and a Texas ranch hand than I could possibly have with the British born Bangladeshi family who currently live next door, because the former are "our kith and kin, they share our values and our culture"

By radicalising anything, you can make it look absurd, it's a less than subtle device used by many an idealist.
Saying that, the BNP is of course racist, to suggest they are anything else is as absurd as suggesting the UKIP is another face of the BNP.

As far as I am concerned, we don't need no more three fingered piano players or one legged ballet dancers from Rumania; stop them all coming in and get the entry policy right so that we allow people who are going to contribute to this country to then come in.
I am sick and tired of seeing Crimewatch festooned with Eastern European gangs of pickpockets, credit card fraudsters and so on.
We ain't making these people do that sh!t, they are choosing do it for themselves.
I mean, am I going round their house, dragging them out of bed, telling them to go rob some poor bastid of his money?
No I ain't, they are choosing to do it instead of working and if the majority of these people are Eastern European, then it is THEY who are making it a race issue, not me.
