We have two british manufacturers, who supply us with new markers and state of the art electronics, and all we do is moan.

Have you all forgotten the sp lawsuits, who fought sp, and won. We did, now stop bitching and accept the fact that we may not have the best palyers, but we make the best guns.

Dont worry tom some of us are very proud of that, atleast its a minescule consellation for our failing/failed car industry :] cant wait for the new angel sounds far better on paper than the benchmark ego to me, just a question of how tech friendly it is.

The etek may actually increase possible retail price of 2nd hand egos.

This is because someone buying a new gat will see a 2nd hand ego at £400, and then the etek at £475 and see that they would be paying £75 for a new but in effect downgrade of the 05/06 egos.

So buyers options are;

05/06 ego, which are better, and saving £75
OR, etek £75 less money for paint, an a worse marker, admitidly new tho...

is it a downgrade marker though performance wise? it has micro switch which is cheaper but alot of people actually prefer, ok it doesnt have lcd but how oftern do you even look at it after its setup and they have apparently improved the ram. its just an updated budget ego isnt it? without the (arguably) uneccecary quirks. And it certainly looks smarter.

the Etek will possibly always be viewed as the "cheap" ego or wannabe, therefore i agree with Dskize. the ordinary Ego will not drop it's price as people think as no matter what you say or do, it is still well worth its current market value.

the new angel looks tempting and you can't argue with the stats. smaller, lighter, tighter and all the bits with it?? barrels, tool kit battery and all that??

The angel1 however does look great, i love the new milling on the etec and would love that body on my 05, such a pity thats not possible!
