Just like that old Nazareth song, "Love Hurts."
Hey Bacs, that sort of 'luurrrve' I can well do without mate
It does seem to be a peculiarly English trait that we genuinely do wish bad upon our peers, I am talking specifically about Brit pro teams here and not Ams or Novices.
The Yank pros do support each other in some cases, and I am talking about peer group support here.
After you cut through all the bullcr@p we see on here, the truth of the matter is, the Brit pro teams would rather their peers fail than succeed.
I mean, if Brit pro team A and Brit Pro Team B are playing in the same tourney and Team A happens to qualify for the next round, team B would rather team A loses every single game and would rather see any other nationality beat them.
And before anybody comes on here telling me it ain't this way, well don't waste your breath with any idealistic, insipid, fictionalised accounts of Brit paintball reality.
It is what it is and I know people are gonna crawl outa the woodwork telling us all, ‘Nooo u got it all wrong Pete, we all love each other, we respect each other, we want the other Brit teams to do well if we fail….’ Bull ‘frikkin’ sh!t
This only really applies to Brit pros, I can't really speak for the Ams.
I will however make one genuine exception to this, Twizz.
He is probably the only guy who genuinely wishes his peers success, no matter what the circumstances....unless of course you are playing against his team which is kool.
But I have to say, the Brit Am and Novice teams and players are genuinely supportive of any Brit Pro team who does well which is encouraging, it just takes the rest of us on pro teams to ironically learn from them
