The point i was making, is a manufacturer will pull out all the stops to make sure their team wins, regardless of you or i, and the rules.
That's life unfortunately, to think otherwise is just daft and naive.

I'm not really talking about magic boards or anything, but a ground up built shocker will be much better than your average off the shelf shocker.

take it in cars. From what I know such built cars can boast 20 to 30% greater break horsepower.

So suppose thats 30% lower pressure, or 30% greater gas efficency. or 20 to 30% greater consitancy.

please note these aren't hard facts, any of them.

Tom, that's fine but it is one thing to 'pull out all the stops' and quite another to cheat.

Which is it?

I don't have a problem with SP making sure that the Dynasty shockers are made of all the best parts they produce. It would be silly of them not to.

I do however have a problem with them making markers which are illegal.

And earlier in the thread you said...

"That's a bit naive................ To cheat..........To gain an advantage...............To win................What else, we are talking about SP, here."

Implying that SP had made some sort of cheat version of the shocker for Dynasty to use. I'm just asking you to qualify that statement with a theory of what they did to the markers to make them effectively 'cheat' guns?

I'm not looking for proof, just your personal opinion of what it is they altered on the markers?

as Tom says that is the way of the world. the eblades Nexus use are tweaked, The Joy Fly's are tweaked. This is something companies do and what we the general public get is a replica. They have been doing for years and they will be doing it for years to come and one final point it is quite legal and I personally don't see a problem with it.

Obviously i have no actual examples of direct cheats, as they would be off as soon as you could get a patent on them (ha,ha). But if anyone was in a position to provide a benefit, which may or may not be within the rules or not, then they would be the obvious contenders.
In my experience working within a respectable company, cheats are happening everywhere, and that's a respectable company..!!!!

I would not call them cheats, basically every marker is under constant improvement. How soon the improvement filters down the chain depends on the product and the company. SP spent a long time perfecting the release version of the shocker and who is to say that along the way they found some mods that may work but did not have time to test on the release model, but have been added to the Dynasty team shockers. These mods may then be found on the Mark II version.
Also the rules governing products do not state that the Dynasty shocker released to the public has to be 100% the same as the Dynasty team edition, be lucky if it has to be 75%

Even if hypothetically the comercial dynasty edition marker was the same as the team one, the tech support they'd get to keep the markers running would be phenomenal, and not something that Joe Consumer would have access to.

Look, I don't think I am making myself clear.

Tweaks are one thing, getting the most out of the equipment - trying new (legal) things etc - that is what DW is arguing. I get that, never thought it would be any different. Don't have a problem with it, we all tweak our markers as best we can.

That's not what I'm talking about...

Tom has talked about cheats. Something completely different. So I am merely asking what you think the Dynasty shockers would have had changed by SP to make them cheat markers? For example, velocity/BPS ramping? Patented heat seeking pballs?

I personally don't think they will have been using 'cheat' markers but as you implied it I am asking what you (Tom) think they will have had altered?
