heres a question, can HSE bottle be used in europe, so if i was to go to toulouse, can i still use my HSE bottle?

judging by the state of the airfills at the last few milleniums you could use a coke can (sorry nicked your earlier example!) they do not check, care or fill them safely let alone decide which testing proceedure is correct!!!

we never even got asked to prove if the bottle was in date!!!

Toulouse has always been pretty tight on test dates and yeah, I've used an HSE bottle there the past 2 years, just make sure its in date.

CE bottles cannot be purchased before 1st of July after that date all bottles sold as new must be tested to that standard. You will find that most stores have got little or no stock of bottles, so that they are not left with surplus stock after the change.

So what happens??

When this all comes into force.

Can we still use, and get filled our HSE bottles until the current test runs out?
Then have to bin it, and buy a new CE tested bottle.

Or do we have to buy a new bottle stright away?

Or can we get our HSE bottles retested when needed to the new CE standard.

Anyone know for sure. H-PAC????

re cyl tests

When the new standard comes into force on July 1st you can still use your HSE cyl in th UK if in test, the new cyl is valid thoughout europe and UK but not USA, all cylinders manufactured after end June 03 will be to the new standard, as the HSE cyls life expire after 15 yrs then HSE will no longer be seen.
DOT and Hse cannot be legaly used in Europe but no one seems to know for definate and millenium will fill anything airtight it seems.

I think he's saying that you can get your HSE bottles re-tested until the 15 year lifespan is up, That's the way it reads to me anyhow
